Kelly Campbell, who has served as the head of NBCUniversal’s streaming service Peacock for over three years, is departing from the company.
Campbell’s resignation occurs approximately six weeks following NBCUniversal’s parent company Comcast revealing plans to split off the majority of its cable networks into a different entity, while Peacock will continue under NBCUniversal’s ownership alongside the NBC broadcast network and the flagship cable channel Bravo.
NBCU reps declined comment.
In 2021, Campbell moved from Hulu to Peacock, where she’s been for several years now. During her tenure, Peacock, a streaming service under NBCU, has experienced growth, currently boasting over 36 million subscribers as of the third quarter of 2024. Notably, it has managed to reduce its financial losses recently.
More to come.
