According to The Hollywood Reporter’s confirmation, Anna Faris’ residence in Pacific Palisades was unfortunately consumed by the Palisades Fire.
“Anna and her family are safe and grateful,” the actress’ rep shared on Wednesday.
In 2019, the actress who starred in “Scary Movie” and “Just Friends” purchased a home after her separation from Chris Pratt. The two share a son named Jack, who is 12 years old. She is currently married to cinematographer Michael Barrett, whom she met while working on the 2018 remake of “Overboard.
Faris, the presenter of the “Anna Faris Is Unqualified” podcast, is one of the 130,000 Los Angeles residents affected by the six fires that are still burning in L.A. County as Wednesday evening approaches. These fires include the Eaton, Hurst, Woodley, and Lidia blazes. The fierce fire, driven by Santa Ana winds, ignited on Tuesday in Pacific Palisades, then expanded to encompass sections of Malibu and Santa Monica during the night.
On Wednesday evening, the sixth blaze, known as the Sunset Fire, ignited in Los Angeles, potentially threatening the famous landmark, the Hollywood Bowl. A fire started near Runyon Canyon in the Hollywood Hills around 5:30 PM. The rapidly spreading flames are close to Hollywood Boulevard and the Hollywood Walk of Fame, as well as other notable locations within Los Angeles.
At least five people have died in the fires, of which all but one are zero percent contained.
Actors Mandy Moore, Billy Crystal, Cary Elwes, and James Woods, along with songwriter Diane Warren and reality TV personalities Spencer and Heidi Montag, as well as Paris Hilton, have all verified that their individual homes were unfortunately razed by the wildfires.
Billy and Janice Crystal expressed their profound sadness after their home in Pacific Palisades, which they had lived in for almost five decades, was destroyed by fire. They explained that no words could convey the magnitude of the destruction they’ve witnessed and felt. Their house held a wealth of love and cherished memories that can’t be erased. Although they are undoubtedly heartbroken, they expressed their resolve to overcome this tragedy with the support of their children and friends.
Moore expressed deep sorrow and shock, saying he felt heartbroken and speechless, as many others have suffered immense losses. He himself lost his home to the Eaton Fire.
“It tests your soul, losing everything at once, I must say,” said Woods on X.
Hilton said she is “heartbroken beyond words” after learning her Malibu home was destroyed.
After posting a video of his evacuation from Malibu on social media, Elwes confirmed via Instagram that his home in the Palisades Fire had been destroyed, but he and his family were unharmed. “We are incredibly grateful to have made it through this extremely destructive fire,” wrote the star of The Princess Bride, also expressing thanks towards first responders for their efforts.
According to TMZ’s reports, the houses of actors Adam Brody, Leighton Meester, Eugene Levy, and John Goodman in Pacific Palisades have been destroyed by fire as well.
The star of Schitt’s Creek, Levy, who serves as the honorary mayor of Pacific Palisades, had evacuated the region on Tuesday. Speaking to The Los Angeles Times, he described the smoke in Temescal Canyon as “very black and intense” and said that the smoke was “extremely dark.
The Palisades Fire spread to include Palisades Charter High School, a well-known school often used in film productions, along with famous Malibu restaurants like Malibu’s Reel Inn, Moonshadows, and Cholada Thai.
