The debut of WWE Monday Night Raw on Netflix’s streaming platform attracted a substantial number of viewers, particularly within the U.S.
VideoAmp’s ratings data reveals that the premiere of Raw on Netflix garnered approximately 2.6 million households, surpassing the average of 1.2 million households who tuned in to the three-hour show on USA Network in 2024 by a significant margin. The WWE’s flagship weekly show had entered into a $5 billion rights deal with Netflix a year prior to this.
According to data from VideoAmp, which was provided by Netflix, the number of viewers aged 18-49 watching Raw has more than doubled its average for the year 2024 among this age group. Unfortunately, total viewer numbers for Monday’s show were not available at the time of publication.
Across various regions where Netflix distributes it, such as Canada, the UK, Latin America, and Australia, Monday Night Raw garnered approximately 4.9 million viewing hours during its broadcast on Monday and Tuesday. This figure might not seem impressive compared to Netflix’s top English-language series, which has averaged around 15.5 million views in the last ten weeks. It is important to note that Monday Night Raw is not yet a globally accessible property on Netflix; countries like France, Germany, Italy, South Korea, India, Japan, and the Philippines are among those where WWE programming remains unavailable on the streaming platform.
Netflix’s long-term agreement with the WWE marks a significant stride in their live content offerings, being the largest step taken thus far. Besides broadcasting weekly episodes of Raw, Netflix now holds exclusive rights to distribute WWE premium live events (previously pay-per-view) and other weekly programs such as Smackdown and NXT in many international regions.
