Sundae School returns to mark the Lunar New Year, unveiling their first collection for 2025, themed around the Year of the Snake. Guided by a “Boba Fleece,” the creative direction of Dae Lim’s label, this special edition celebrates and reinterprets Asian-American heritage in a manner consistent with Sundae School’s core values.
During their meeting in September, TopMob and Lim emphasized the significance of preserving the brand’s cultural roots while simultaneously challenging some cultural norms and discussions.
Lim stated, “We aim to respect our past while propelling it into the future. We’re challenging certain traditions that were established by our predecessors, but that’s all part of progress. Sometimes you need to shatter old norms to create something new.
Besides the Boba Fleece – which is a fresh take on Sundae School’s slightly cropped fleece, this time boasting bobba-flowered sleeves – the collection encompasses a series of unisex hoodies adorned with sparkles and two shades of an Asymmetric Zip-Up Jacket. To complete the release, there are several logoed beanies and a Mochi Lighter Case up for grabs.
