Wind and Sea’s style is deeply rooted in the music world. Under the leadership of Takashi Kumagai, the label often draws inspiration from various genres for its collections and releases. In 2024, they collaborated with artists like the Beastie Boys, PaRappa the Rapper, as well as taking cues from UK garage and grime music. For their debut release in 2025, Wind and Sea teamed up with The Grateful Dead to create a vibrant collection of co-branded merchandise.
As a gaming enthusiast, I’m rocking a fresh lineup of apparel that proudly showcases the symbolism of The Dead. From stylish crewnecks to tees and hats, this collection is perfect for any gamer who wants to represent The Dead in style!
Instead of saying “leading the lineup,” we can rephrase it as “the main item in our collection.” Regarding the description,
This main item in our collection is a cut-and-sew piece, which is a distressed heavyweight plaid shirt. The design features a unique bleach-dyed pattern, and it has a large “Steal Your Face” logo printed on the back – an iconic symbol associated with the Grateful Dead. To give it a modern twist, our designers have creatively incorporated WIND AND SEA’s wave motif at the top of the logo, while including the brand’s lettering underneath.
