Previously, it was announced that Shraddha Kapoor would star in the film Nagin, a trilogy centered around a shape-shifting snake deity. It appears this movie is now ready to begin production. Producer Nikhil Dwivedi has given an update on the project, revealing a glimpse of the script on Makar Sankranti 2025.
On January 14, 2025, Nikhil Dwivedi posted a picture on his Instagram Stories, which displayed a script entitled “Nagin: An Epic Tale of Love & Sacrifice.” This script was credited to SAFFRON Magicworks, and it was encircled by marigold flowers. In simpler terms, Nikhil Dwivedi recently published an image on Instagram Stories that showcased a script about a love story called Nagin, which was created by SAFFRON Magicworks, and the picture was decorated with marigolds.

In a chat with India Today last year, Nikhil Dwivedi disclosed that Shraddha Kapoor was eagerly looking forward to commencing the shoot for Nagin. He further hinted that production might start as early as 2025.
2020 saw Shraddha Kapoor express her joy on what was then known as X (formerly Twitter) about embodying the character of Nagin. In her post, she expressed, “I’m thrilled beyond words to portray a Nagin on screen. I spent my childhood admiring, looking up to, and idolizing Sridevi ma’am in her roles as Nagina and Nigahen. Playing a role deeply rooted in Indian folklore has always been a dream of mine.
In a past conversation with TopMob, Nikhil Dwivedi shared that Shraddha was his preferred choice for the role. He explained, “I could only visualize Shraddha for the part because I believe she’s one of our actresses who possesses an exceptional quality – being both relatable as a girl next door and capable of transforming into a very alluring woman at will.
Shraddha Kapoor was last seen in the horror comedy Stree 2, which was a massive success.
