Ace Trainer is a new Farlight Games release, in soft launch for select regions

  • Farlight are hot off a big 2024 in their partnership with Lilith Games to bring AFK Journey to mobile
  • But what does one of their latest launches, Ace Trainer, have to offer?
  • Let’s dig in and find out what this eclectic mix of tower-defence, pinball and more has to offer

2024 was a significant year for me as Farlight collaborated with Lilith Games again, releasing AFK Journey to the idle RPG enthusiasts worldwide. With 2025 just around the corner, it’s no wonder they have more exciting projects on the horizon! One of the first ones that caught my attention is Ace Trainer, which is currently in a soft-launch phase and available in regions such as South Korea and the US.

Essentially, Ace Trainer is about gathering, nurturing, and enhancing extraordinary creatures in the Pokemon style. But since we’re all friends here, I can be informal! You take these fantastical companions, help them grow, and then use them to battle against hordes of zombies. Farlight has given it a spin similar to Palworld, turning it into more of a tower defense game rather than the traditional turn-based combat.

As a gamer, I’ve found that this game isn’t just about the typical gaming experience; it’s got a unique twist with pinball-like elements. You can aim and shoot to gather resources within the game. It’s an interesting blend that might not be globally popular right away, but the soft launch in various regions suggests Farlight is optimistic about Ace Trainer’s potential success.

Far shot?

It appears that I’ve found a fitting description for Ace Trainer based on the limited information available: “It seems quite comprehensive, like tossing in everything including the kitchen sink.” Unfortunately, as I’m located in the UK, I haven’t had the chance to experience it yet. However, the blend of PvP, PvE, tower defense, pinball, and various other elements has me rather intrigued – almost to the point of feeling dizzy!

Simultaneously, even though it sometimes makes me cringe, I can’t deny that some of you might find yourselves intrigued by the same idea. These elements are indeed quite trendy these days, but their simultaneous presence leaves me questioning if they will hold up under future examination.
