Yung Lean Announces New Album, ‘Jonatan’

Yung Lean has finally revealed his upcoming plans, posting on Instagram that his next project will be released later in the year. Named after his real name, Jonatan Aron Leandoer Håstad, the project titled “Jonatan” is set to drop everywhere later this year.

On Tuesday, January 21, around noon EST, the rapper posted a brief message on Instagram as the first entry on his feed. This image, expertly crafted by Aloe Garten, showcases a central portrait of Lean himself as its cover art.

Jonathan has an upcoming album this spring. The art direction is by Aloegaarden, as he mentioned in the caption. Additionally, he announced a new concert taking place in Stockholm on March 1st, held at Avicii Arena.

Jonatan will be the title of Lean’s fifth solo studio album, set to release approximately a year following his last studio effort, “Psykos” alongside Bladee. Notably, this upcoming album marks Lean’s first solo studio LP since his 2022 release of “Stardust.” In the current year, Lean has also made notable appearances on Charli XCX’s “360” remix featuring Robyn, and he additionally released “Shadowboxing.
