2025 can’t come soon enough for me, as Sky Force is one of the movies I’m absolutely buzzing about! Starring none other than Akshay Kumar and newcomer Veer Pahariya, this action-thriller is set against the backdrop of the 1965 Indo-Pakistani air war.
Recently, TopMob got an exclusive sit-down with these two talented gentlemen to discuss their upcoming war flick, and boy, did we learn some fascinating tidbits! Veer confessed that the likes of Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Hrithik Roshan, and, yes, Akshay Kumar himself, served as his inspiration for venturing into acting.
What’s more, he opened up about the thrilling experience of portraying a war hero in his very first film. I can’t wait to see these incredible actors bring this gripping tale to life on the big screen!
In an exclusive interview with TopMob, new Sky Force recruit Veer Pahariya shared that as a child, Akshay Kumar served as his inspiration. He further mentioned, “I’m a huge admirer of Hrithik Roshan and there have been elements of Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh in my life too; their performances have definitely influenced me. However, I admire sir (Akshay Kumar) for his career path and versatility. I believe he is the only actor who has shone in almost every genre. Therefore, yes, sir.

Speaking about his role as a war hero in his first film, Veer expressed that this task was incredibly significant. He went on to say that there isn’t much documentation about the 1965 war and its heroes. However, when he donned the uniform, he felt a powerful energy surge within him, which takes care of half the job. This makes you sit up straighter, and your overall demeanor improves.
Apart from sharing that he met the families of war veterans, Pahariya mentioned receiving their blessings as well. He expressed that they were delighted with the movie and felt honored by its portrayal, which they believe accurately preserves their legacy. This approval, he added, is the greatest encouragement, motivation, and confidence they have before the film’s release. As a result, they are deeply grateful for this recognition. In summary, that’s how the aspiring actor concluded his statement.
In the same conversation, Veer mentioned the wisdom he gathered from Khiladi Kumar. Pahariya commented, “Being fortunate enough to spend a considerable amount of time with Akshay, I used to receive a lot of advice from him. He told me, ‘Concentrate on your tasks and keep going without worrying about anything else.’ That’s the lesson I learned from him.
