Khushi Kapoor is all set to start her acting career in the movie titled “Loveyapa,” where she will share screen space with Junaid Khan, son of Aamir Khan. The preview and tunes from this film have garnered favorable responses from the audience. In a recent chat, Khushi fondly recalled that their mother, Sridevi, prohibited them from watching her films. Consequently, Khushi and her sister, Janhvi Kapoor, would surreptitiously watch their mom’s movies without disclosing it to her.
In a recent conversation with Vickey Lalwani, Khushi Kapoor mentioned that, since her mother’s movies were not allowed to be watched at home, it was somewhat challenging for her to see most of them.
Kapoor mentioned, “Indeed, she tends to be a little bashful, so Janhvi and I would need to sneak peeks at them in a private room. We ended up watching quite a few of them since there were many, but we had to keep it discreet.
In an earlier conversation, Khushi once mentioned that as a child, her playground was a film set, which she regarded as a fortunate circumstance. She elaborated that when she and her sister Janhvi weren’t working on the set, they would spend their time at home reenacting scenes and watching movies instead.
Khushi lovingly reminisced about the time she played Om Shanti Om at home, copying the famous hand gesture made by Shah Rukh Khan and others. She managed to persuade her cousin into helping her replicate the scene, by tying a dupatta around her wrist in place of the original costume accessory.
In a chat with Grazia, the actress from The Archies revealed something that consistently captivated her about her mom. She admitted that her mother exuded an extraordinary grace and sophistication, maintaining her regal bearing wherever she moved.
Discussing Loveyapa, the trailer showcases the intriguing relationship between Junaid Khan’s character, Gaurav, and Khushi Kapoor’s character, Baani. Their bond exhibits both light-hearted and intense moments. To assess their trustworthiness before considering marriage, the families of Gaurav and Baani devise an unusual test: they ask them to exchange phones for a day. This experiment could potentially reveal if they are ready to commit to each other.
The romantic comedy “Loveyapa” is scheduled to premiere in theaters on February 7, 2025. The movie features Grusha Kapoor, Ashutosh Rana, Tanvika Parlikar, Kiku Sharda, among others. Directed by Advait Chandan, who previously directed “Laal Singh Chaddha,” this upcoming film is co-produced by Phantom and AGS Entertainment.
