Kaitlin Olson Sent A Sweet Message After Abbott’s Renewal, Then Got One From It’s Always Sunny’s Rob McElhenney After High Potential’s Season 2 Announcement

I’m thrilled to share that it’s officially confirmed that “High Potential” won’t be among the shows ending or getting canceled in 2025! Instead, it will continue to bring delight as a staple of primetime television for many more months. This means we’ll get to see Kaitlin Olson reprise her role as Morgan, the intelligent sleuth, unraveling even more intricate mysteries in Season 2. And guess what? The procedural dramedy isn’t going it alone – it will have company for a good portion of the upcoming TV lineup!

Apart from ABC, the network also announced some delightful news concerning its popular sitcom, “Abbott Elementary“. This series, which has been a consistent source of laughter, was officially renewed for Season 5. To celebrate, an endearing video was released featuring school children enthusiastically shouting out the exciting news. Given that the cast members from “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia“, led by Olson, recently walked the halls of this very school for one of the best crossovers this year, it’s not surprising that the actress associated with “The Mick” decided to share some contagious enthusiasm.

Kaitlin Olson Shares Love For Abbott Elementary

Ahead of the news going public about High Potential‘s second-season pickup, Kaitlin Olson took to Instagram Stories and shared a report about Abbott Elementary being locked in for a fifth season, tagging star and creator Quinta Brunson in the process.

Congrats, new friends!! 🎉

Excited to share some intriguing news! You won’t believe it when Olson interacts with the cast from Abbott again, this time appearing in the reverse side of the crossover for Season 17 of “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”, which is being filmed right now. I can barely contain my anticipation as I envision Janine and Barbara’s reaction when they walk into Paddy’s Pub!

Kaitlin Olson Gets Her Own Loving Message From Rob McElhenney

Though he may not be a co-star or producer or caterer or anything on High Potential, Rob McElhenney is the co-creator of It’s Always Sunny, and he also happens to be Kaitlin Olson’s right-hand hubby. So it only makes sense that he was quick to share a congratulatory message for her majesty on his own Instagram, as seen below:

that’s my queen 👑

Interestingly enough, instead of Olson quickly reciprocating McElhenney’s warm remarks, she opted for a nurturing response that resembled a mother or wife.

I love you, take good care of the kids, see you in 8 months ♥️

Hooray! As of now, there isn’t a specific schedule set for when Season 2 will start production, but let’s cross our fingers and wish for it to happen sooner, so we can enjoy additional episodes in the future.

I’ve been deeply moved by Kaitlin Olson’s recent personal post about the renewal of ‘High Potential.’ On one hand, I feel an overwhelming sense of excitement about this positive development. On the other, as a fellow Californian, my heart is heavy with concern over the ongoing L.A. wildfire crisis that casts a shadow on our shared home. In her own words, she beautifully expressed this dual emotion: “Thrilled and saddened all at once.

Life can be unpredictable. It’s unfortunate when natural disasters occur simultaneously with good news such as a show getting renewed for another season. Coordinate better, fires. Don’t make it seem like I’m being insensitive. Thank you to everyone who watches. Thank you @abc for your tremendous support. I am filled with appreciation. (For this, for the @losangelesfiredepartment and for neighbors coming together in a way I’ve never witnessed before. I love you, LA)

Here’s hoping that things gradually return to some semblance of normality soon, whatever that might be these days, allowing for a smooth progression of High Potential Season 2 without any obstacles or delays. And it would be fantastic if JD Pardo’s character Tom were to make a comeback in Season 2, perhaps rekindling his relationship with Morgan for the long term. Additionally, if Kaitlin Olson graces our screens in the final episodes of The Conners when it airs in March, that would certainly be the cherry on top!

High Potential airs Tuesday nights on ABC at 9:00 p.m. ET.
