Liu clarified that he’s not an American, but a Canadian residing in the U.S. He owns property and pays taxes there. After reviewing the new administration’s tax plan, he noted that it appears he might receive a tax reduction. However, he stated that he doesn’t require a tax cut. Instead, he’s content to pay taxes and even feels he should contribute more due to his good fortune and privileged status.
