In 2025, you won’t just see Kim Kardashian appearing as herself on TV; she’ll also be making a comeback to acting. Yes, the highly influential media figure and entrepreneur is venturing back into acting through one of Ryan Murphy’s latest productions – All’s Fair. So, with this upcoming legal drama series set for release, one of Kim Kardashian’s fellow actors, Naomi Watts, has plenty to say about it.
I recently sat down with Vogue UK to talk about my upcoming book, “Dare I Say It: Everything I Wished I’d Known About Menopause,” where I didn’t shy away from discussing topics like aging and romance with my husband, Billy Crudup. Additionally, I shared some exciting plans for 2025 that involve working on a new project similar to both “Dynasty” and “Succession.” When probed about this show and collaborating with Kim Kardashian specifically, here’s what I had to say about the Skims owner: [I look forward to working with her, as we embark on this intriguing journey together.]
I admire the message of women supporting each other, standing strong against oppressive structures like patriarchy and misogyny. Kim is compassionate, diligent, and fearless. I hold her in high esteem. She’s venturing into a new field, acting, at such a significant scale. Quite bold, isn’t it? And she does so without apologies. She’s truly inspiring.
Kardashian has a long history with television, as evidenced by the recent release of Season 6 teaser of The Kardashians. Yet, acting is a relatively fresh endeavor for her. It’s comforting to learn that seasoned actors like Naomi Watts are endorsing this newcomer in the acting world.
Prior to teaming up with Watts in “All’s Fair”, Kim Kardashian had previously worked with Ryan Murphy on “American Horror Story: Delicate”. This means, not only did her fellow actors shower her with kind words, but the producer also seems to enjoy working alongside Kim as well.
Furthermore, the alumna from The Watcher enthusiastically discussed her affection for the casts that Murphy is recognized for putting together. Specifically, in the play All’s Fair, she pointed out that it boasts an impressive roster of talented actresses, as Watts put it.
We have Glenn, Sarah [Paulson], Niecy [Nash], Teyana [Taylor] – what an amazing cast! I’m really drawn to the empowering aspect of his storytelling, with the focus on uniting this fantastic group of women who not only excel in action but also care for each other. There seems to be a touch of elegance in its portrayal.
One thing’s for sure, Ryan Murphy knows how to gather stellar actresses for a project.
Undeniably disappointing that Halle Berry couldn’t be part of “All’s Fair” due to scheduling issues, and if Glenn Close had declined, the series would have been a completely different production. Nevertheless, I’m thrilled about this show based on Watts’ comments, and let’s hope the L.A.-based legal drama finds success. For now, we can only anticipate whether the “Gypsy” actress’ opinions about her co-stars, particularly Kardashian, will align with the series’ reality, as there’s no confirmed release date yet.
You’ll be able to catch both “All’s Fair” when it becomes available and “The Kardashians”, premiering on February 6, by subscribing to Hulu.
