MING recently launched the 37.09 Uni, a special edition diving watch modeled after the renowned sea urchin dish called uni.
Building upon the acclaim garnered by the 37.09 Bluefin, which claimed the Sports Watch Prize at GPHG 2024, this watchmaker carries on their culinary muse with their latest piece. This new design, inspired by the sea urchin, offers a unique and refreshing twist to their traditional style, thereby unveiling the MING reference that boasts orange emission Super-LumiNova.
As a gamer, I can say that this watch shares similarities with the toughness and distinctive look of a sea urchin. Sporting a 38mm DLC-coated casing, it not only embodies its inspiration but also boasts an impressive 600-meter water resistance, living up to its aquatic moniker.
At the heart of it lies the self-winding Sellita SW300.M1 movement from MING, providing top-notch dependability and functionality. This mechanism boasts an impressive power reserve of about 50 hours when fully wound. The timepiece comes with a custom FKM rubber strap, secured by a DLC-coated flying blade tuck buckle, ensuring both comfort, security, and water resistance.
A maximum of 150 units of the 37.09 Uni model will go on sale through MING’s official website, priced at approximately $5,793 USD (equivalent to 5,250 CHF), beginning January 23, 8 a.m. ET.
