Originally slated for Los Angeles this week, the LVMH Watch Week 2025 was swiftly moved to New York City due to the destruction caused by persistent wildfires in the city. The event, divided into two parts, featured nine Maisons such as Bulgari, Hublot, TAG Heuer, Zenith, Daniel Roth, Louis Vuitton, Tiffany & Co., and L’Epée 1839, showcasing their newest timepiece innovations.
For the 2025 edition of this successful series of events, LVMH has chosen New York and Paris as their locations, linking two continents that hold significant importance for the LVMH Group. The New York leg of the event will be hosted at Tiffany’s famous flagship store on 5th Avenue, along with neighboring Louis Vuitton and Bvlgari stores, over a span of two days starting January 30. The series will then proceed to Paris, where it will continue at the luxurious Cheval Blanc Paris hotel, as well as other LVMH-owned stores.
At the conclusion of LVMH Watch Week 2025‘s New York installment, TopMob reflects on some standout timepieces that graced the event.
Daniel Roth Extra Plat Souscription
As a gamer, I can’t help but feel excited about the ongoing resurgence of Daniel Roth, a legendary figure in independent watchmaking. The latest addition to this comeback is the Extra Plat Souscription – a sophisticated dress watch that embodies the brand’s rich heritage dating back to the ’90s. This masterpiece, crafted by La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton, is another testament to their commitment to preserving and advancing the legacy of Daniel Roth.
First introduced by Roth himself in 1990, the idea of an ultra-slim dress watch carries a unique charm, reminiscent of the brand’s early days. The Extra Plat Souscription pays homage to the brand’s roots while unveiling a fresh mechanical component – the DR002 movement. This timepiece is encased in an 18k yellow gold casing, featuring a dial that mirrors the gold tone with a clou de Paris hand-engraved pattern. The original design’s distinctive double ellipse shape is preserved, and it is accessorized with a light beige-brown calfskin strap.
Each of these 20 watches showcases exceptional attention to detail, where each dial requires 10 hours of painstaking hand-engraving by a skilled craftsperson at La Fabrique du Temps. For more information on this intricate timepiece, you may find it here.
Louis Vuitton Tambour Convergence in Rose Gold
2025’s LVMH Watch Week will be Louis Vuitton’s debut as an exhibitor, and it’s their Tambour Convergence watch that truly leaves a lasting impression. While the Tambour Taiko Spin Time Collection captivated attendees with its striking appeal, the Tambour Convergence stands out in a more subtle, understated manner thanks to its guichet-style design. Unlike the Taiko Spin Time, the Tambour Convergence’s charm lies in its unassuming elegance. The time is displayed through an aperture that moves much like vintage wandering hour wristwatches, adding a touch of classic charm to this modern piece.
Dressed in rose gold, the dial of this watch is designed to showcase the passage of time by acquiring marks of use. Although gold is inherently less resistant to scratches than steel, its dreamy quality gives each piece a distinct character reflecting its owner’s unique experiences. Furthermore, Louis Vuitton has introduced a platinum version adorned with 795 diamonds, giving it a snow-like appearance. Explore the entire collection for LVMH Watch Week by clicking here.
Zenith Chronomaster Sport Rainbow
Zenith, known for its innovative approach with the Defy series, seldom explores gem-encrusted designs. Leveraging the popularity of its first gem-set Chronomaster Sport from last year, Zenith has now upgraded this opulent and vibrant idea with the Chronomaster Sport Rainbow.
The bezel adorned with gems and the watch hands shaped like baguette-cut sapphires on the Chronomaster Sport Rainbow model produce a dazzling array of colors. This is beautifully contrasted by a black dial that highlights the sparkle of the gemstones. Additionally, the subdials in hues of blue, dark gray, and silver-gray pay tribute to the traditional three-color scheme associated with the Chronomaster. Tiffany & Co. Jean Schlumberger by Tiffany Twenty Four Stone Watch
The Twenty Four Stone Watch from Tiffany & Co. is inspired by Jean Schlumberger’s famous Sixteen Stone collection, known for its revolving outer band embellished with 24 round brilliant diamonds and intricate 18k yellow gold cross-stitch patterns. This stylish timepiece showcases a 39mm case crafted from 18k white gold, and it’s lavishly decorated with 413 diamonds. The central disc of the dial is further adorned with an additional 220 diamonds, resulting in a stunning and harmonious design overall.
Equipped with the self-winding LTM 2100 movement from Switzerland, this watch boasts a dependable 38-hour power reserve for accurate timekeeping. The design of the caseback mirrors Schlumberger’s Floral Arrows brooch, featuring a sunburst pattern adorned with diamonds that enhances its refined charm. A Tiffany Blue alligator strap finalizes this limited edition watch, showcasing the Maison’s unparalleled mastery in both horology and jewelry crafting.
