On January 16, 2025, Saif Ali Khan experienced an intrusion at his residence. As a result of the incident, he was taken to the hospital for treatment on his sustained injuries. Since then, numerous figures from Bollywood, among them Shahid Kapoor (a fellow cast member in Rangoon), have voiced their wishes for Saif’s swift recovery. Now that Saif has been released from the hospital, Shahid expressed his joy at seeing him in good health. Moreover, Shahid pointed out that such incidents can happen to anyone, and he wouldn’t label celebrities as soft targets.
In a recent chat with Screen, Shahid Kapoor expressed that an unfortunate event like this could’ve happened to anyone. He described Mumbai as a very ‘safe’ city, but everyone was taken aback by the attack. The actor from Deva added that such incidents occur in numerous cities. He went on to say, “However, it can happen to anyone. I wouldn’t say celebrities are an easy target.
Shahid Kapoor expressed that perhaps others might be experiencing something analogous. He emphasized that such situations should matter equally, regardless of whether they involve an ordinary individual or a famous figure like Saif Ali Khan. The actor further noted that the heightened conversation surrounding this topic is largely due to Saif’s celebrity status.
Shahid emphasized the importance of ensuring security in apartment buildings. In closing, he shared his joy upon Saif’s return, stating, “It’s wonderful to see him back among us, healthy and thriving.
On January 21st, Saif Ali Khan left Lilavati Hospital and gave a friendly wave and smile to the waiting photographers from within his car as he headed home. Throughout his hospital stay, family members like Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ibrahim Ali Khan, Sara Ali Khan, Sharmila Tagore, Soha Ali Khan, Kunal Kemmu, among others, paid him regular visits to inquire about his wellbeing.
Currently, Shahid Kapoor is actively promoting his upcoming film titled Deva. Besides him, Pooja Hegde, Pavail Gulatie, Pravessh Rana, and Kubbra Sait are also part of the main cast in this movie directed by Rosshan Andrrews. The action thriller is slated for a theater release on January 31, 2025, with production handled by Siddharth Roy Kapur and Umesh KR Bansal.
