Therefore, we can only speculate about the emotions felt by Monica Barbaro upon witnessing her FUBAR father honor her first Oscar nomination with a heartfelt Instagram post highlighting her achievement.

Last week, Barbaro received her initial Academy Award nomination for her role in the biopic “A Complete Unknown“, where she portrayed the iconic Joan Baez alongside Timothée Chalamet as Bob Dylan. To announce this Best Supporting Actress recognition, Schwarzenegger posted a heartfelt Instagram message, featuring a picture of Barbaro, visibly emotional with her head in her hands. This unexpected pairing delighted many viewers as they watched “The Terminator” star on their television screens for the first time. Interestingly, this is Schwarzenegger’s debut in a scripted series. He and Barbaro portray two CIA operatives who must reconcile their familial bond after discovering secrets about each other’s jobs. The series has received mixed reactions so far, with critics giving it a 50% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and fans awarding it a 68%.

‘FUBAR’ Season 2 Is on the Horizon

Even though fans haven’t caught a glimpse of FUBAR since May 25, 2023, they won’t have to wait much longer for its return. Season 2 of this witty blend of action and humor is slated to debut sometime this year. Although Netflix hasn’t confirmed an exact release date yet, we do know that Carrie-Anne Moss will be joining the cast as a new character.

The star of The Matrix will portray Greta Nelso, a character who has a past with Schwarzenegger’s persona, Luke Brunner. As for the specifics of FUBAR Season 2, Netflix has maintained secrecy so far; however, given a short synopsis they’ve shared, it appears that Moss’s inclusion in the series will undoubtedly add complexity to Brunner’s life.
