On Monday, it was announced that Blink-182 will be performing at the Hollywood Palladium for a unique, one-time event.
As a dedicated fan, I’m thrilled to share that the trio I adore – Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge, and Travis Barker – are organizing a unique relief benefit concert. The event is scheduled for February 13th, and we can expect Alkaline Trio to join them on stage! This incredible show aims to raise funds for L.A. fire relief efforts. Remarkably, 100% of the ticket sales will be donated to the Pasadena Humane Society, California Fire Department, LAFD Foundation, and ARC Firefighter Fund to support those on the frontlines battling these devastating fires. I can’t wait for this special night!
Live Nation has revealed that a system called “Ticketmaster’s ‘Original Price Resale'” will be implemented for the upcoming event. This means that ticket holders who are unable to attend can only sell their tickets to other attendees at the same price they originally paid.
Blink-182’s concert is just one example among numerous Los Angeles wildfire aid initiatives within the music industry. With the Grammy Awards approaching in L.A., several events planned for the week have been called off. Major companies such as Universal Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment, Warner Music Group, and Spotify have decided to scrap their pre- and post-Grammy events. Instead, they are channeling their resources and assistance towards aiding wildfire relief efforts in Los Angeles.
Three companies, Live Nation, AEG, and the Azoff Company, have teamed up to organize a celebrity-packed charity concert called FireAid, scheduled for January 30th. Billie Eilish and Finneas, Lady Gaga, Earth, Wind & Fire, Gracie Abrams, Green Day, Jelly Roll, Joni Mitchell, Katy Perry, and other artists will be performing at this two-venue event happening at the Intuit Dome and The Kia Forum in Inglewood. The performances will be aired by selected AMC Theatres, Apple Music, Apple TV App, Max, iHeartRadio, KTLA+, Netflix/Tudom, Paramount+, Prime Video, Amazon Music Channel on Twitch, SiriusXM, SoundCloud, Veeps, YouTube, and other platforms.
Tickets for Blink-182’s benefit concert go on sale at Jan. 27 at 3 p.m. PT.
