According to industry insiders, it’s rumored that Shah Rukh Khan’s well-known home on Carter Road, known as Amrit, is set for renovation. This prestigious property, located in one of Mumbai’s high-end neighborhoods, has long been associated with the actor and his family, serving as a notable landmark. It appears that developers might be considering this building for a future development project. Notably, the property includes a rooftop flat that SRK previously utilized as his office space.
As a devoted follower, I’ve learned that according to Etimes, Varun Singh, the visionary mind behind SquareFeatIndia, has shared insights suggesting that our esteemed committee is on the verge of making a decision regarding two potential developers. The aim is to evaluate and select the most fitting candidate for the redevelopment project at hand.
Singh shared that as many as ten builders have shown an interest in renovating the property, according to Bandra real estate agents. Out of these, seven have submitted their plans to the residential society. He also noted that in the upcoming week, the committee could potentially choose two construction companies and assess their qualifications for the project.
As a devoted follower, I’d like to share a fascinating tidbit from an earlier interview with the multitalented Viveck Vaswani. Before tying the knot with Gauri Khan, Shah Rukh Khan was a houseguest at Vaswani’s residence. Post their nuptials, they shifted to a vacant flat belonging to Aziz Mirza, nestled next to The Taj Lands End in Devdutt.
After getting married, Shah Rukh and Gauri resided in a small one-room apartment in Asuda Kutri, Mount Mary. During this tough phase of their lives, filmmaker Prem Lalwani gave Shah Rukh his first acting opportunity in the movie named Guddu.
Shah Rukh Khan requested 40 lakh rupees from Lalwani to buy a new apartment named Amrit, and in exchange, he agreed to adhere to the film’s shooting schedule. Lalwani granted the money, which facilitated SRK’s purchase of the property, previously owned by AK Talwar, who was Rajesh Khanna’s maternal uncle.
Carter Road, an extremely sought-after district within Bandra, boasts of both luxurious residential and commercial buildings. Notably, Shah Rukh Khan and his family predominantly dwell at the famous Mannat building located on Bandstand.
In terms of his career, Khan is all geared up to feature in the new movie titled “King,” directed by Siddharth Anand. This upcoming project will also star Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, and Abhay Verma. The film is being billed as a pulse-pounding action-packed thriller.
