Synduality: Echo of Ada – How To Change Factions

At first glance, Synduality: Echo of Ada might seem like a one-faction game, but it’s far from it.

As I advance in this game, I’m finding out that my allegiance to the Drifter Support Group isn’t set in stone.

Embracing change can be thrilling! If you’re considering a switch or exploring fresh alliances, the excitement lies in discovering what new adventures await on the other side.

Here’s a breakdown of how you can make the change and what it means for your gameplay.

How To Change Factions

One strategy for changing alliances involves locating other players’ Magi, which serve as crucial AI partners within the game, and successfully capturing them.

You can get right into PvP combat during your expeditions with this one.

While you’re out exploring Synduality, other players might end up as your targets.

First off, I’ve got to engage an opponent in battle, defeat them, and then seize the crate that drops as a result. Inside this crate lies their Magus artifact.

Once you manage to take the Magus away from three different opponents, the Drifter Support Group will mark you as a Rogue.

This will expel you from the faction but opens new opportunities with independent factions.

However, hunting players or ditching contracts can impact your reputation with different factions.

Choosing to become a renegade or distancing yourself from the Democratic Socialists of America could open up fresh opportunities for you, but it may irritate other groups in the process.

If player-versus-player (PvP) isn’t something you enjoy, you can easily change your faction by choosing to depart from the Drifter Support Association.

You can do this from the game’s menu system in the garage between missions.

As an enthusiast, I recommend navigating to the ‘Records’ section and selecting ‘Organization’. There, you’ll find the option to part ways with your faction for a fee of 100,000 Credits, if that’s a decision you wish to make.

This option comes with a hefty cost, but it’s an obvious choice for individuals who prefer games that offer a strategic or storyline-centric experience.

After settling your membership dues, you’ll no longer be part of the Drifter Support Association, which means you’re free to accept assignments from various autonomous groups.

One important thing to note is that after leaving the DSA, you can switch back whenever you want.

You don’t need to pay a membership fee to rejoin the Drifter Support Association, but if you have been marked as an Outlaw for damaging other players’ Cradles, you may first have to clear your bounty.

When you switch factions, remember each has its own rewards and opportunities.
