In the game Synduality: Echo of Ada, every adventurer, or Drifter, understands the routine: gather AO Crystals, sell them, and amass wealth. However, it’s not just a matter of picking up any crystal that catches your eye.
To reap the rewards, you must know what you’re looking for, how to find it, and when to look.
Here’s how to make every excavation count and turn those crystals into serious profits.
How Excavation Works
As a Drifter, your Magus is the AI that helps you hunt down AO Crystals everywhere.
To begin excavating, first, you should trigger the AO Search capability, causing a notification to spread throughout the area.
The pulse puts a temporary spotlight on nearby AO Crystals.
Once you locate a crystal, head over to it and hold down the excavation button to start digging.
After a short while, the crystal will break, and you can pick up the shards that drop.
However, the mechanics go deeper than just hitting a button.
The more often you mine crystals, the more apparent it becomes that the size and quality of the crystals impact your potential earnings.
Furthermore, the choice of Excavator tool impacts both the types of minerals you can extract and your efficiency in mining them.
The worth of an AO Crystal in Synduality: Echo of Ada boils down to size and purity.
The size of a crystal is often the most straightforward aspect to assess, as larger crystals tend to be more noticeable and can yield greater benefits.
These larger crystals drop more shards, and the shards themselves are worth significantly more.
As you explore, you’ll spot larger crystals that have distinct markings. Sometimes they are grouped together like several smaller ones, and other times they appear as a single massive crystal.
Focusing on the bigger crystals is crucial since they yield a higher reward with minimal additional time spent mining.
From afar, it can be tricky to gauge the purity of a crystal. If a crystal appears less vibrant or dull, it’s likely that its purity level might be lower.
But if it’s glowing and bright, you’re looking at a high-purity one.
High-purity crystals light up in bright orange or purple; mining them gives you the best return.
As a gamer, I’ve found that to gather those top-notch crystals, it’s crucial to upgrade my Excavator to a more advanced tier, as the journey progresses and the task becomes more challenging.
Understanding the importance of size and quality will help you select the most profitable crystals to excavate, ensuring a higher yield.
The Excavator is responsible for carrying out all the tasks. Initially, you will receive an entry-level Excavator, only capable of extracting small, low-grade crystals.
Improving your equipment will grant access to more sophisticated Excavators, capable of unearthing bigger, higher-grade crystals.
With sophisticated Excavators, you’ll be able to mine crystals at a quicker pace, thus allowing you to gather larger quantities in less time.
You can extract the less pure, smaller crystals using any excavator machine. However, for the larger, more valuable crystals of higher quality, you’ll require advanced or higher-tier excavators.
Or simply:
Smaller, lower-quality crystals can be mined with regular excavators, but bigger and more valuable ones need high-tier equipment.
For better results, make sure upgrading your Excavator is on your list.
