This highly praised production, featuring Charlize Theron, Luca Marinelli, Veronica Ngo, Harry Melling, and Kiki Layne, made its debut in 2020, earning an impressive 80% rating on Rotten Tomatoes from both critics and fans. At a “Next on Netflix” event in Los Angeles (as reported by The Hollywood Reporter), the streaming service finally announced the news that fans have been eagerly waiting five years for – the premiere date of “The Old Guard 2” on Netflix, which is scheduled for July 2, 2025. Both Charlize Theron and Luca Marinelli are set to reprise their roles in the sequel, based on the graphic novel by Greg Rucka.
