Bioware Assembles Core Team of Veterans for Next Mass Effect

Bioware has revealed that a key group, including veterans from the initial series, will develop the upcoming Mass Effect installment. Given the outcome of Mass Effect Andromeda, this suggests promising developments for fans.

I recently hopped over to the developer’s official site and found some exciting news! They revealed that the crew behind our upcoming game includes the talented individuals: Mike Gamble, Preston Watamaniuk, Derek Watts, and Parrish Ley. The blog post also hinted at a few more familiar faces joining them, suggesting this new installment might just be a return to the series’ classic formula!

It’s worth noting that when discussing the latest Mass Effect, Bioware mentioned that not all their staff are necessarily involved. Some team members will be focusing on other major projects from EA, though the specific titles remain undisclosed. Fingers crossed it could be the upcoming Iron Man game from EA, but we’ll have to wait and see.

At this point in our progress, we don’t need assistance from the entire studio. We’ve got an amazing team here at BioWare, and we’ve been working tirelessly for several months to pair many of our colleagues with teams within EA that have open positions which align well with their skills.

Given the widespread acclaim for Dragon Age: Veilguard, it seems fitting to revive Mass Effect now. Previous projects like Andromeda and Anthem faced criticism due to hasty development and excessive emphasis, which some perceived as a blemish on the company’s reputation. Here’s hoping that reintroducing these beloved franchises will pave the way for another triumphant release.

Fans eager for more gaming resurrections may soon find out if Helldivers 2 will expand to additional regions within the U.S. Notably, gamers can also look forward to EA potentially reintroducing The Sims and The Sims 2, timed with their significant 25th anniversary celebration.
