BAPE Joins NEIGHBORHOOD for Cold Weather, Camo-Covered Capsule

Following its recent partnership with Yohji Yamamoto x adidas’ Y-3 in Paris this week, Shinsuke Takizawa’s NEIGHBORHOOD is set to announce another impactful collaboration. This time, the Harajuku-based brand is joining forces with fellow Tokyo streetwear label BAPE to materialize their shared creative ideas across a versatile collection of clothing and accessories. The duo will work together to design these pieces using their combined design perspective.

In the vibrant heart of Harajuku, brands like BAPE and NEIGHBORHOOD embody the genuine spirit of this cultural epicenter, drawing inspiration from their rich history to release a collection of classic designs and motifs. This joint collaboration encompasses various jacket styles such as snowboard jackets, varsity jackets, and zip-up hoodies, highlighting robust cold-weather clothing. Many pieces feature BAPE’s “TRIAL CAMO” camouflage pattern, originally introduced in 2000 but now updated with a modern, monochromatic color scheme.

This snowboard jacket stands out as essential items, coming in two color options: all-black and TRIAL CAMO. The exterior is made of polyester taffeta and jacquard fabric, while the inside boasts a mesh lining. Similar to its matching track pants, it has seven pockets. It also includes drawstrings for the hood and hems, as well as a discreet co-branded logo stitched on the front.

In other areas, the duo amplifies their design concept by showcasing various clothing items such as long-sleeved and short-sleeved T-shirts, crew neck sweatshirts, and caps. Accessories play a significant role in the overall collection, encompassing an incense burner shaped like a ceramic ape head, Modernica chairs adorned with TRIAL CAMO pattern, and on the shoe side, stylish BAPE x NBHD Skull Shoes.
