Warning: This discussion contains spoilers for the first three episodes of Season 2 of “School Spirits”. To avoid any surprises, ensure you’ve watched all episodes by subscribing to Paramount+ and streaming the series before diving in here.
The ending of School Spirits‘ Season 1 left me with numerous unanswered questions, and when I saw it scheduled for 2025, even more queries popped up! Questions ranging from Maddie not being truly deceased to Mr. Martin’s suspicious intentions, and Simon’s faith in his spectral companion. My thoughts were whirling back then, and now they’re spinning again after the first three episodes of Season 2. I’m eagerly awaiting answers to these new questions as I tune in every Thursday.
What Is The Deal With Xavier And His Seemingly Temporary Ability To See Ghosts?
Xavier’s expression suggested he had encountered a ghost, as it indeed turned out to be, leaving him utterly shocked, which leaves me concerned. Given my fondness for the TV series “Ghosts,” I assumed that someone who had died and returned could always see spirits. However, it seems Xavier is an exception to this rule.
While in a state between wakefulness and unconsciousness, it appeared as if he got out of bed and encountered spirits dwelling within the hospital where he resided. Yet, upon regaining awareness, he no longer seemed able to perceive these spirits.
In the upcoming episode, Maddie observes that Xavier appears to be gazing directly at her, yet he’s unaware she’s his focus. This suggests that some residual effect from his hospital stay may still linger within him.
Additionally, it appears he is certain of what he perceived during his brief period of being deceased, and Simon shared information about Maddie with him. This combination suggests a person who holds the belief in the existence of spirits or ghosts.
On the contrary, he’s unable to perceive them, but I desperately require him to. Despite finding Xavier’s routine of interrogating Simon about ghosts amusing, it’s a recurring joke that may lose its charm quickly.
In addition, I require multiple individuals who can serve as intermediaries among spirits and humans. While it’s heartening that Simon perceives Maddie, I’m eager for one of the human characters to interact with the other spectral residents of the high school. If the show chooses to explain Xavier’s temporary gift of ghost-seeing, he could potentially be the ideal candidate to fill this role.
How Will Maddie And Wally’s Relationship Be Impacted The Her Potentially Coming Back To Life?
It’s quite possible that many of us have pondered the thought: What if I return to life while my deceased boyfriend remains dead? Given our current circumstances, brought about by the story of School Spirits and Wally and Maddie’s relationship, this is a question that has arisen for us.
You can watch the entire series of School Spirits on Paramount+, but if you have a Netflix subscription, you’ll also find Season 1 available there.
It seems we’re facing a complex situation. I enjoy the dynamic between Maddie and Wally, and the on-screen chemistry between Peyton List and Milo Manheim is delightful. Yet, this dilemma casts a significant shadow over their narrative. So far, they’ve only hinted at the problem, with it being evident that Wally, in particular, is struggling with it. However, they haven’t yet explored the potential consequences if Maddie manages to regain control of her body, which raises intriguing questions about their future together.
To be honest, I’m completely at a loss as to how this situation will unfold. As of now, it appears that Maddie regaining her physical form is a significant focus this season. It leaves me curious about how this development might affect her interactions with the other spirits, particularly Wally. I can’t wait to see how their relationships will be impacted by this change.
It’s also possible that these questions could be addressed even if Maddie remains a ghost. Could she and Wally become star-crossed spirits? Is there a way for her to coexist with him? Will the complications of this situation stir up current conflicts? This topic seems significant – perhaps even the most high school drama-filled issue in the series – and it should be given considerable attention in Season 2.
So Do The Ghosts’ Death Objects Transport Them Back To When They Died?
One reason I’ve found myself inexplicably drawn to the TV series “School Spirits” is its clever incorporation of horror elements. Although it’s not particularly terrifying overall, it does have some eerie scenes, and we experienced a major one towards the end of Episode 3.
Following a distressing flashback of a memory, Rhonda strolled down the corridor clutching her college acceptance letter, an item that held great significance to her. She then stepped into the guidance counselor’s office, which seemed ominous with its dim red lighting, and was instantly transported back to a meeting with Mr. Manfredo. It felt as if she had been catapulted back to the exact moment before her demise, and it undeniably caused fear and trauma for both Rhonda and anyone reading about her experience.
The question that immediately crossed my mind regarding this scene was: What effect will this have on Rhonda in the future? Yet, I believe a more significant inquiry might be: Do these ghosts’ possessions hold the ability to transport them back to their time of death? Or is there someone manipulating this situation? Or could it be that Rhonda was experiencing a hallucination?
This intriguing event establishes a chilling sequence of events for the spirits, offering valuable insights into their past lives prior to their demise.
It’s clear I have numerous unanswered questions. For instance, I’m curious about Janet and her current situation given that she’s with Maddie’s mother. The conversation between Xavier and Nicole on the message boards requires further exploration as well. And then there’s the mystery of Mr. Martin who has vanished; his disappearance is quite intriguing. These three questions are the ones I find myself constantly contemplating while anticipating new episodes, but they are certainly not the only questions on my mind.
Across the board, the captivating Paramount+ series has left many unanswered questions, and I’m optimistic that these will be addressed as Season 2 unfolds. Among the queries, the ones I’ve listed are of utmost importance for resolution. In fact, I eagerly await the upcoming episodes to delve deeply into these mysteries so we can unravel the truth about the ghostly happenings at this troubled high school.
