Among the multitude of reality shows that have graced our screens, none compares to CBS’ “Survivor” in terms of unparalleled excellence. This enduring competition series (available through a Paramount+ subscription) has undeniably cemented its place as one of the greatest reality shows ever produced, and continues to captivate audiences with its ongoing success. With Season 50 promising the return of familiar faces, I can’t help but wonder if the legendary Boston Rob would be open for another round. It seems that his previous stance may have shifted.
In May of 2024, Rob Mariano (currently featured on The Traitors Season 3) expressed no longing to revisit the game that catapulted him to fame according to TV Insider. However, in a subsequent interview with the same publication, he hinted at a potential participation in Season 50, suggesting: “I might consider it.
I definitely spoke with Jeff. It’s an important time, it’s a grand event. It would be exciting to contribute somehow. We’ll just have to stay tuned to find out.
Here it is. It appears Mariano might want to participate in Season 50, provided the conditions are favorable. Whether he’s planning to compete or simply make an appearance isn’t certain at this point. However, considering the substantial earnings of Survivor contestants, making a choice seems to be a complex matter.
If Boston Rob chose not to participate in Survivor anymore, it wouldn’t be surprising. He has already participated in an impressive five seasons of the long-lasting series, with his most recent appearance being on Winners at War. Furthermore, he teamed up with Sandra Diaz-Twine as a mentor in Island of the Idols. Given that he hasn’t strayed too far from the game, it seems like a logical move for production to ask him to reappear somehow for Season 50.
Well, as a devoted fan, I can certainly understand why Boston Rob might be taking a break from the original series. After all, this talented reality TV star has been raking in the dough on shows like Survivor, Deal or No Deal Island, and The Traitors for quite some time now. Perhaps he’s just enjoying his hard-earned success and doesn’t feel the need to subject himself to another grueling filming experience at the moment.
In the discussion earlier, it’s worth noting that Rob is currently creating quite a stir in another well-liked show. Many fans of Survivor are trying to figure out how to catch up on Season 3 of The Traitors, particularly since the esteemed player was revealed as a Traitor. Despite the early stages of the season, he’s already made some unforgettable moments on screen, such as his heated argument at the Round Table with Bob the Drag Queen.
It’s been a while since a former player has appeared in another season of Survivor, as the new era just started. Fans and even players are excited about the prospect of people getting their much-desired second chance on Season 50. However, before that, we still have a few seasons to tackle first. The next one, Season 48, is scheduled for February 26th, 2025, according to the television schedule.
