Liam Neeson’s Thriller ‘Run All Night’ Hits Free Streaming This February!

An action-packed, controversial thriller starring the seasoned action star (previously known as ) will make its free streaming debut in February. The actor, famed for his roles in action films, has earned acclaim with his performances, and while 2015’s film (previously known as ) might not have been universally praised by critics, it’s definitely worth watching for those seeking another gritty performance from the Academy Award nominee.

Under the direction of Jaume Collet-Serra, who recently achieved acclaim with his Netflix action thriller titled “Carry-On“, and written by Brad Ingelsby, the movie “Run All Night” is set to release. This gripping film stars Joel Kinnaman, Common, and Ed Harris alongside Liam Neeson, who once again delves into his familiar role as a hitman. The plot unfolds when Neeson’s character is compelled to flee with his son after inadvertently killing a mob boss. “Run All Night” is scheduled for release on February 1st, and you can find more details about the storyline in the official synopsis provided below.

Veteran hitman Jimmy Conlon (Liam Neeson), longtime confidant of mob boss Shawn Maguire (Ed Harris), finds himself in a less than ideal situation. He’s plagued by the regrets of his past and a persistent cop who’s been on his case for three decades, with alcohol being his only solace. But when his distant son (Joel Kinnaman) becomes marked as a mob enemy, Jimmy decides that the best way to make amends for past errors is to protect his son from harm.

‘Run All Night’ Proved To Be Divisive Among Both Critics & Audiences Alike

As a dedicated cinephile, I’d say that while “Run All Night” may not quite match the greatness of the first “Taken,” in my humble opinion, it still stands as one of Liam Neeson’s finest action films during his career peak. However, it seems not everyone agrees, with Rotten Tomatoes labeling it as “rotten” based on a 59% critics’ score and an audience score of 56%. Nevertheless, let’s disregard the criticisms and simply appreciate Neeson delivering top-notch action in this heart-pounding nighttime adventure.

Contrary to speculation about his exit from action movies, Liam Neeson continues to have numerous thrilling projects in progress. Among these are “Cold Storage”, the upcoming sequel titled “The Ice Road 2: Skyward Journey“, and “Mongoose“, a film that finds Neeson portraying Ryan ‘Fang’ Flanagan, a war hero falsely accused of a crime. With nothing left to lose, he leads the police on an exhilarating nationwide car chase, aided by his former Special Forces Army comrades and under the watchful eye of a captivated public who are rooting for his successful escape.

Stepping aside from action for a moment, I’m excited to share that Liam Neeson will be showcasing his comedic talents next! Known for his gripping roles in movies like “Taken,” Neeson is now set to star in the upcoming reboot of “The Naked Gun.” Directed by Akiva Schaffer, this reboot is based on an original story penned by Seth MacFarlane from “Family Guy.”

In this new installment, Neeson will step into the shoes previously filled by the late, iconic Leslie Nielsen, taking on the role of Frank Drebin Jr. The cast also includes Pamela Anderson, Paul Walter Hauser, Kevin Durand, Danny Huston, Liza Koshy, Cody Rhodes, CCH Pounder, and Busta Rhymes.

“The Naked Gun” reboot is slated for release on August 1, 2025, by Paramount Pictures. I can hardly wait to see Neeson’s comedic prowess unfold on the big screen!
