Nike’s Pegasus Premium Lands With Innovative Air Zoom Unit

As a dedicated Nike enthusiast, I’m excited to share some details about the latest addition to my collection – the Nike Pegasus Premium. This beauty comes in a unique colorway that perfectly blends Football Grey, Total Orange, Summit White, and a splash of Multi-Color. The SKU for this pair is HQ2592-002, and it retails at $210 USD. If you’re as intrigued as I am, you can grab a pair from the Nike store itself!

Nike has unveiled its latest and most sophisticated version of the Pegasus running shoe line, the Pegasus Premium. This updated design hails from the Pegasus series, which was first introduced in 1982. For the first time ever, this model showcases a sculpted, visible Air Zoom unit that enhances runners’ stride by providing propulsion.

With a blend of ZoomX foam in the midsole and ReactX foam at the heel, and an intricately molded Air Zoom unit, this shoe offers a seamless, springy sensation with each stride. Collaboratively, Nike’s designers, engineers, and scientists have strived to produce a unique sensation for runners and maximize energy return from the shoe. Previously, Nike has used flat Air Zoom units, but recent advancements such as computational design, artificial intelligence, and rapid prototyping technologies have led to more sophisticated units.

The upcoming model will initially be released in a scheme with a white base and striking orange highlights on the Air Zoom unit, insoles, and tongue designs. In the near future, an alternative black colorway will also be available, showcased on the Nike website with a shiny silver Swoosh logo. Reflective elements running through the design and incorporated into the laces of both editions give them a modern, futuristic look.

The upper part of these shoes consists of multiple layers of transparent mesh that reveal the technical aspects within. Although simple in design, it doesn’t lack branding. A prominent swoosh logo is placed on one side, along with an Air symbol and a chrome swoosh emblem on the other. At the back, a small tab subtly displays a Pegasus wing, while the tongue proudly bears the full name of the shoe model in bold orange letters.

Right now, you can get the all-white version of the Nike Pegasus Premium for $210 USD from the official Nike website and certain stores. Keep an eye on TopMob for news about when the black edition will be released.
