It’s rather simple to overlook Dorian’s youthful age. Known for crafting beats for numerous underground hip-hop artists such as Yhapojj, Babyxsosa, RiTchie, and Myaap, this 18-year-old prodigy is swiftly making a name for himself and garnering respect within the rap community. Previously dedicated solely to production, Dorian debuted his first “rap” project last year, featuring his verses on every track. The acclaimed self-titled LP paved the way for Dorian’s sophomore studio effort Leaving Home, further showcasing his ability to maintain relevance in the ever-changing music industry.
This 15-song album, titled personally penned and produced, carries a blend of rock, punk, and trap influences throughout its approximately 30-minute duration. Primarily a single-handed project by Dorian, the album boasts collaborations from quinn, Klein, Polo Perks, and RiTchie. The tracks “In Turn For?,” “Pressure,” “Floor Tom,” “Pray 4 The People” are among those that made it to the final playlist, with other notable highlights being “Aspen” and “I.V.
