In her own words, Gascón expresses, “Anyone who truly knows me understands that I am not prejudiced.” She further clarifies, using translated Spanish text, “(You might be taken aback when you learn that one of the most significant individuals in my current life and whom I hold dearest is a Muslim).” She also states that she is not “any of the labels for which I have been hastily judged and condemned without due process and without opportunity to defend myself.

Once again, she emphasizes her long-standing commitment to advocating for a fairer society and a world characterized by freedom, peace, and love. Rest assured, she will never endorse conflicts, fanaticism in religion, or the suppression of diverse races and cultures.

In response to those who have pointed out her previous posts and utilized them negatively against her, she pens, “I acknowledge, with tears in my eyes, that they have triumphed; they’ve accomplished what they set out to do – tarnishing my existence with falsehoods or distortions.

I’ve been posting comments that are being misconstrued as if I’m criticizing or even my peers, praises turned into mockery, jokes made serious, words that on the surface appear to be hateful, but only make sense given the context of my lack of success,” I lament. “It seems everything I say is twisted against me until I manage to win something and rise above.

Gascón once more offered an apology to everyone who might have been offended by her choice of words at any point throughout her life, and emphasized that there’s still plenty for her to learn, including effective communication. This becomes even more crucial as she gains a broader reach, thanks to her role in the Oscar-nominated Netflix film.

She concludes with an optimistic sentiment, reminiscing about her mother saying, “It doesn’t matter if you achieve anything, what truly matters is your well-being and avoiding harm.
