Templa Unveils Biodegradable Puffer Jacket

Working closely with ALLIED Feather + Down and top-tier performance clothing maker, Active Apparel Group, Templa introduces a cutting-edge puffer jacket designed to foster circularity using entirely biodegradable materials.

The Hyperion jacket is constructed with biodegradable 800-fill power-down insulation, biodegradable synthetic materials, and accessories sourced by AAG, along with down from AF+D. It comes in color options of “stone”, “blush”, and “black”. This item is designed to decompose naturally within about 5 years. Templa states that third-party certifications from Amni Soul Eco® by Solvay and CiCLO® validate that over 99% of the materials used in the jacket, including fill, trims, and fabrics, are biodegradable.

The jacket was honored with a 2024 ISPO Award due to its significant accomplishment, as this prize celebrates groundbreaking innovations within sports equipment. As stated by Anati Rakocz, Founding Partner at Templa, “This project signifies more than just an eye-catching design or novel technology for us; it’s about making thoughtful decisions driving positive change. We are thankful that our initiatives, in partnership with AAG and Allied Feather + Down, have been recognized by industry leaders, strengthening our conviction in the impact of collective efforts towards a greater good.

I can hardly contain my excitement! As a dedicated fan, I eagerly await the release of the Hyperion Jacket in September 2025, perfectly aligned with Templa’s FW25 – Edition 12 Collection. This union promises an unforgettable addition to my wardrobe!
