Miles Teller is opening up about losing his home in the Los Angeles wildfires.
In a chat with E! News, the actor revealed that his close friends have offered assistance following the fire that destroyed their home in Pacific Palisades, which was among those affected by the Palisades Fire in their neighborhood.
In an interview on E! News, the actor disclosed how his dear friends have stepped up to help him and his wife Keleigh Teller after their Pacific Palisades house was damaged during the Palisades Fire that struck their community.
There’s been an overwhelming response as people have been reaching out to us in various ways, either expressing their emotional support or offering us a place to stay. As a dedicated Deadhead, I’ve found that quite a few individuals have reached out to Keleigh with offers to send me a Grateful Dead shirt.
“Little stuff just means a lot, so it’s been very heartwarming,” he added.
Keleigh Teller posted the final picture she snapped of their house before leaving, which she uploaded on Instagram.
She expressed her heartfelt gratitude to everyone reaching out in a post’s caption, stating that their kindness has touched the world. The community of Pacific Palisades means more to her than words can express – it’s like a piece of heaven on earth. Despite the hardships, they will emerge stronger than ever before.
Keleigh too posted pictures, one showing their house post-fire and another comparing their neighborhood then (before the Palisades Fire) to now.
If you’re located near Los Angeles, PLEASE evacuate if possible. I regret not taking my wedding dress with me, and I wish I had made many other different choices, but it doesn’t matter now. Stay safe and leave. There are no words sufficient to express my feelings, she continued in her post. “THANK YOU to the first responders who are working tirelessly.
Teller said that the grief of losing their home has come “in waves.”
Miles shared with E! News that when everything is gone and all you have left is each other, it can be quite emotional. Losing your home and being part of a group no one wants to belong to isn’t something easily shaken off. So, we simply support and care for one another during these tough times.
Actor Teller will be joining forces with Anya-Taylor Joy in the movie titled “The Gorge“, set to debut worldwide on Apple TV+ this Valentine’s Day, February 14th.
The Tellers family is one of numerous families whose homes were sadly damaged or consumed by the wildfires, joining celebrities such as Mandy Moore, Jeff Bridges, Billy Crystal, Anna Faris, Cary Elwes, Paris Hilton, Milo Ventimiglia, Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag, among others, who have also suffered similar losses.
In the span of 24 days, both the Eaton and Palisades fires have been fully controlled. Tragically, at least 29 lives were lost due to these two blazes.
