The TV series “FBI: Most Wanted” made its appearance in the 2025 television schedule last week, and its winter premiere left Nina in a bit of a pickle. The Fugitive Task Force is teetering on the brink of an exceptionally complex case, dubbed “Ars Moriendi.” This Season 6 episode airs on February 4 and delves into the dark web and a lethal game, while simultaneously presenting a challenge for Remy on a personal level. David Hudgins, the showrunner who also penned the episode, gives us a sneak peek of what’s to come from the next wave of dangerous killers in CBS’ successful Tuesday night lineup.
Although it’s yet uncertain if Nina features in “Ars Moriendi” following the winter premiere’s conclusion, the upcoming episode seems to call for everyone’s involvement. (You can stream the winter premiere now with a Paramount+ subscription.) During an interview about the latest episode he penned for Most Wanted, David Hudgins revealed that it gets quite twisted… and what the Latin title truly signifies.
Title ‘Ars Moriendi’ explores the chilling realm of the deep web, where these murderers are deeply engrossed in a digital universe, desensitized by the frequent display of violence online. They derive status from the heinous acts they perpetrate. To them, mastering ‘The Art of Dying’ is like winning a prize. The task falls upon Remy and his team to halt their progression before their macabre audience incites them to even more depraved actions.
In this upcoming episode of “Ars Moriendi,” written by David Hudgins since the Season 6 premiere, the antagonists will likely present a unique brand of terror unlike the fugitive from October who put Remy’s health at risk. It seems that the twisted nature of these new villains could potentially pose as much danger to the Task Force as the actual killers themselves. This tense and challenging episode is scheduled to air on February 4 at 10 p.m. ET, hinting at a difficult night for the whole team based on the showrunner’s comments.
According to the description provided by CBS for “Ars Moriendi,” it seems that Remy might face some challenges in his personal life as well. The final episode of 2024 left off with a strain in Remy and Abby’s relationship, as she turned down his proposal to live together while she was in the city. It looks like this storyline could become more complex. (CBS: description)
Following an open-air homicide, it falls upon the Fugitive Task Force to track a group of assassins involved in a sinister online contest. Simultaneously, Remy and Abby find themselves at odds as they attempt to align their strategies.
It’s not necessarily a sign that Remy and Abby’s relationship is over just because they can’t seem to agree on things right now. After all, Hana and Ethan’s romance had its ups and downs during Season 6, but as we enter 2025, it looks like their relationship has come to an end. So, will Remy and Abby be able to overcome their differences in the coming year?
As I eagerly anticipate February 4th, it appears that our beloved character Remy is set to juggle a multitude of professional and personal challenges. Until then, the tantalizing trailer for “Ars Moriendi” offers a tantalizing glimpse into the week’s mind-bending mystery. Here’s a sneak peek:
Every week, the crime-solving action on CBS continues with the conclusion of FBI: Most Wanted, airing after FBI: International at 9 p.m. ET and FBI at 8 p.m. ET. The team in International is close to rescuing Vo following her brush with death, while Scola could use a breather after the intense winter premiere episode of FBI.
