Grammys Exec: Kanye and Bianca’s Red Carpet Look? ‘Artistic Black-Tie’

The producer responsible for overseeing the Grammys event is commenting on the eye-catching, somewhat contentious appearance of Kanye West and his partner, Bianca Censori, on the red carpet last Sunday.

At the 2025 Grammy Awards, the rapper’s wife caused a stir online when she stepped onto the red carpet in a fur coat, only to reveal a semi-nude outfit underneath – a see-through minidress and no visible underwear. Many on social media debated whether her attire broke the dress code or even the law.

As a gamer, when I received the invite for this year’s show, it specified “artistic black-tie” dress code. But in the world of music, that seems like something open to personal interpretation. So, I’m wondering how I should interpret and dress up accordingly!

Kapoor clarified that performers on our show must follow a specific dress code, maintaining certain standards and practices. However, for those attending or nominated, it’s something the Recording Academy (the organization presenting the Grammys) would need to address.

West, up for the best rap song with “Carnival”, briefly chatted with Censori on the red carpet and departed the venue ahead of the show commencement. Contrary to some rumors, they were not requested to leave.

Regarding possible legal repercussions for Censori and his attire, it’s worth noting that The Hollywood Reporter previously disclosed that no probe by the Los Angeles Police Department has been initiated.

Previously, it has been mentioned that the same source close to the couple claimed their red carpet appearance was influenced by Kanye West’s album “Vultures 1,” which came out in February 2024, and its cover art depicting a topless woman with a thong and boots from behind.

In simpler terms, he is explaining that his wife is the most searched-for person globally, referred to as Earth, and they have won the Grammy Awards. This is what he wrote in a post on Instagram, which has since been removed.

THR previously reached out to the Grammys for comment.
