2025’s Super Bowl streaming is just around the corner, marking the season when we get to witness some outrageous TV commercials. This year has already shown promise with a multitude of ads unveiled so far, even one featuring Snoop Dogg and Tom Brady that caused quite a stir. However, among all these, I’m particularly excited about Tim Robinson and Sam Richardson teaming up for what could be my favorite ad of the year.
Not too long ago, I was quite excited about the prospect of a DunKings sequel advertisement, but it seems that idea has been shelved. Instead, the comedy duo from Detroiters and I Think You Should Leave have teamed up to create an E.T.-inspired parody for Totinos. Take a look at Robinson and Richardson as they bid farewell to Chazmo the alien in a rather amusing and unsettling Super Bowl commercial: [Link provided]
If you haven’t watched “I Think You Should Leave”, it might have caught you off guard and even scared you a bit. However, if you’re among those who have subscribed to Netflix and given it a try (and trust us, it’s worth the watch), then perhaps you were anticipating things taking a turn for the worse. And indeed, they did, but in the most absurdly terrible way possible. Nonetheless, I must say, it provided me with the best laugh I’ve had in ages, so it’s now my top pick for the 2025 Super Bowl ads.

Without a doubt, I’m putting forth a rather daring assertion. We’re yet to witness the entire spectrum of SB ads, and I’m confident there will be some more hilarious ones airing on Sunday that I’ll be reminiscing about. However, it’s challenging to surpass the humor displayed by Tim Robinson these days. In essence, I’d say the challenge has been issued for someone to outdo an alien who meets a tragic end mere moments before he could return to his home planet.
I have to say, I’m wondering if this advertisement will end up being one of the more amusing and unforgettable ones, or if it might stir up some controversy. After all, remember when General Motors put out a Super Bowl commercial featuring a robot taking its own life after being let go due to a minor mistake? But in defense of the Totinos ad, this situation is quite distinct; here, a comically-designed alien has its head squashed by a metal door. There might be outrage, but I believe most people will find it entertaining and laugh at it as a humorous advertisement.
2024’s Super Bowl had some fantastic commercials that set a high standard. Here’s hoping this year will surpass them with even more enjoyable advertisements. If not, the thrill of the game combined with Kendrick Lamar’s halftime performance should still offer an entertaining experience. In any case, I may have already witnessed the pinnacle of Super Bowl ads, and that’s all thanks to Sam Richardson, Tim Robinson, and Totinos.
The Super Bowl LIX is set to begin on Fox this coming Sunday, the 9th of February, at 6:30 PM Eastern Time. If you can’t catch it live, you can stream it on Tubi. Get ready for a night packed with advertisements, football action, and rap music that Drake might not be too fond of listening to.
