As a devoted mom, I’m not keen on my 10-year-old son following in the footsteps of child acting, and it’s not because I don’t want him to share my passion for the craft. Instead, I aim to shield him from the unique challenges that come with this profession at such a tender age.
On a recent episode of the Today program, the actress was questioned about whether her son, Freddie, might one day venture into acting, similar to his mother’s career path.
Apparently, Freddie, my son, enjoys visiting the film set quite frequently. In fact, he’s spent a good deal of time on the set of ‘Yellowjackets’. He even has his very own chair there! He finds being on set incredibly entertaining and always asks if he can become a child actor whenever he’s there.
According to Ricci, it seems unlikely that he’ll secure any acting roles in the near future due to a single practical issue.
The Yellowjackets actor playfully said, ‘Someone else will have to handle you, as I’m busy with work.’ So, no. Because I asked, ‘Who will accompany you?’ Unfortunately, I can’t go with you either.” But he thinks he would make a great actor. He’s quite skillful at convincing me of things, you know, it’s all about deception.
Ricci co-parents Freddie with her former spouse, James Heerdegen. Additionally, she is married to Mark Hampton and they share a 3-year-old child named Cleopatra since the year 2021.
The actress from “Pan Am” has been working in Hollywood since she was a child. At just 11 years old, she landed her breakthrough role as Wednesday Addams in the 1991 film, “The Addams Family.” She later reprised this role in the 1993 sequel, titled “Addams Family Values.
Over the years, Ricci has taken part in numerous productions, with her latest roles being seen in the popular show “Yellowjackets,” premiering its third season on February 14th. Additionally, she made an appearance in the first season of Netflix’s series “Wednesday,” where Jenna Ortega portrayed Wednesday Addams.
