Entertainment lawyer Dina LaPolt, who represents artists like 21 Savage, Cardi B, Mary J. Blige, Tinashe, and Offset, is starting a new project that includes a podcast and the publication of her first book. Known for her work in artist rights advocacy, LaPolt’s latest venture, LaPolt Media, aims to create compelling content that educates, informs, and boosts influential voices, as stated in an announcement. This platform will also provide a space for LaPolt to share her expertise and continue her advocacy efforts.
LaPolt established LaPolt Law, a legal practice focusing on intellectual property and entertainment, which boasts an impressive roster of big-name clients from the music industry and beyond.
Under the LaPolt Media label, the attorney will kick off her initial ventures with the publication of her motivational book titled “Street Smart: Succeeding in a Man’s World” and the launch of a podcast named “The Stiletto Room,” both scheduled for this spring. Samantha Gayle Bullock has been designated as the chief media officer and executive producer of “The Stiletto Room” at LaPolt Media.
15 years ago, I completed Dina’s UCLA Music Business extension course, which centered around the legal and practical aspects of the music industry. At that time, I was already managing my own indie rock marketing agency. However, this experience proved to be incredibly transformative for me. It offered valuable lessons in self-empowerment and provided a comprehensive understanding of the entire music industry. Now, having the chance to collaborate with her feels like coming full circle. This is what Bullock expressed in a statement.
In “Street Smart”, due for release on October 7th, Dina LaPolt reveals her journey in establishing her firm and closing significant deals. As Joan Jett puts it, Dina LaPolt is the epitome of being ‘street smart’ – she’s fearless, inventive, and unabashedly audacious. Anyone aiming to surmount obstacles and prosper, even in the most challenging sectors, could gain valuable insights from her experiences.
In the podcast, LaPolt chats with bold innovators, game-changers, and fearless individuals just like those from “Call Her Daddy” and Mel Robbins, exploring topics such as careers, personal life, relationships, LGBTQ+ experiences, social issues, and much more.
As a passionate gamer, I’m embarking on an exciting new journey with LaPolt Media. While my law practice remains my top priority, this venture is about creating a platform where unique voices and creative visions can shine brightly. It’s like leveling up, taking the skills I’ve honed from battling for creators, smashing through obstacles, and redefining the game rules, and applying them in fresh, dynamic ways.
