AMC Theatres has increased the cost for its Stubs A-list monthly movie subscription program.
Starting May 7th, the monthly A-list membership for film enthusiasts in New York and California will increase to $27.99, while prices in other states across the U.S. will vary between $19.99 and $25.99 per month, based on the specific state.
Under the AMC Stubs A-List program, frequent film enthusiasts can now enjoy up to four cinema outings per week, an increase from the current three reservations online. This exclusive program is tailored for devoted moviegoers, offering them the opportunity to watch blockbuster films in various premium formats such as Imax and Dolby Cinema.
The AMC Stubs A-List plan boosts the number of weekly cinema visits from three to four reservations made online, catering to avid moviegoers who can now catch Hollywood blockbusters in premium formats like Imax and Dolby Cinema.
1) To attract more family outings to the nearby cinema, AMC is reducing the minimum age for their Stubs A-list movie ticket rewards program to 13 years and above. In addition, they are introducing a more budget-friendly plan called AMC Stubs A-List Classic, which costs $14.95 per month. With this plan, visitors can watch one movie every week at eligible AMC theaters.
To boost income for big cinemas, it’s been important and increasingly effective to motivate people to go back to theaters by offering rewards through special programs.
As a gaming enthusiast, I’d put it like this: “I’m excited to share that despite the price change for our A-List membership, it usually turns out cheaper than watching two films outside the club each month. This is particularly true if you enjoy premium movie experiences or prefer buying your tickets online.” – Adam Aron, AMC Theatres CEO.
As an added perk of being on the A-List, you’ll enjoy continuous advantages such as effortlessly booking free tickets online, expedited access to priority lanes, complimentary upgrades on popcorn and fountain drinks, and $5 in rewards for every $50 spent on ticket and concession purchases.
