In Season 3 of Ted Lasso, several ongoing storylines reached their conclusion. Ted Sudeikes’ character, Ted, returned home to reunite with his son. Hannah Waddingham’s character, Rebecca, overcame her ex-husband-related issues. Moreover, AFC Richmond came extremely close to clinching the Premier League title. However, not everyone received a storybook happily ever after. Alongside launching her own PR firm, Juno Temple‘s character, Keeley Jones, found herself in a complicated love situation involving Brett Goldstein’s character, Roy Kent, and Phil Dunster’s character, Jamie Tartt.
The season finale of part three didn’t settle the love triangle, as both Jamie and Roy clumsily disputed over Keeley before neither being chosen by her, leading to her dismissal of both. One of the key mysteries in the show is who Keeley ends up with, and Juno Temple hints that she has an idea about this. According to Temple’s interview with Entertainment Weekly, “I believe she eventually chooses Roy,” she said. This might be unexpected news for some viewers, as the beginning of season three introduced a new romantic prospect for Roy in the form of Ms. Bowen, his niece’s teacher, while Jamie evolved and tried to rekindle his relationship with Keeley.
Juno Temple made it clear that her viewpoint isn’t absolute and merely represents her personal perspective. It seems we might need to watch the forthcoming fourth season for a more definite response regarding a certain question. However, Juno Temple further contended that the significant aspect of their characters’ development may not necessarily revolve around who they ultimately end up with. Despite Jamie and Roy vying for Keeley’s affection, all three characters experienced substantial personal growth throughout the series. In fact, Temple admired her co-stars’ performances, stating that the evolution of both characters across the three seasons was a subtle yet powerful demonstration of acting skill.
Is ‘Ted Lasso’ Getting Three More Seasons?
To numerous viewers, the third season of “Ted Lasso” seemed like a fitting conclusion, as most characters experienced some form of resolution within their individual narratives. However, Nick Mohammed (the actor portraying Nate “The Great”) sparked excitement among fans last month by hinting at the possibility of a fourth season potentially being underway. Yet, Mohammed’s announcement might not be the only surprise from “Ted Lasso,” as there could be three more seasons in development.
Moe Jeudy-Lamour, who portrays AFC Richmond’s masked goalkeeper Thierry Zoreaux in Apple TV+’s series, unexpectedly revealed that the show has been renewed for three more seasons. However, it appears that the marketing team didn’t inform Jeudy-Lamour about discussing this information, as he thought the news was already public knowledge. “I’ve learned they’ve signed on for, I think, another three seasons,” he said casually, under the assumption that fans were aware of this development.
As of now, there’s no officially disclosed premiere date for the fourth season of Ted Lasso, as it hasn’t been formally approved by Apple Television Plus yet. However, since Jason Sudeikis (Mohammed) and Brett Goldstein (Jeudy-Lamour) have recently shared significant updates, we anticipate an official announcement from the streaming platform in the coming weeks.
