Astonished by his victory, Bates acknowledged the bravery of the firefighters who saved Olsen and the people of Los Angeles during the terrible calamity, for which he was grateful.
I must express my deep gratitude towards our firefighters. You see, our colleague Eric Christian Olsen had a house in the Palisades that was sadly destroyed by fire. This event hits close to home for us all,” she expressed. “To witness footage of you bravely standing against a wall of flames is truly petrifying. I can’t fathom how you managed, but I am immensely grateful for your bravery on behalf of many residents in Los Angeles.
She went on to say: “I’d like to share something with Eric Olsen, who’s still looking for his perfect place, this is intended for your decoration from the get-go.
At least 29 individuals have sadly lost their lives, and over 16,000 buildings have been demolished, with the fires scorching over 60 square miles of land.

In other parts of her speech, the actress expressed gratitude towards her TV family for making her time on Matlock such a pleasurable experience. “Each day when we gather to work, there’s an abundance of love on that set, not to mention the collective expertise – from rolling the camera dolly to handling costumes and props – it’s all first-rate,” she remarked. “Stepping onto that set is like experiencing a miracle, and I am deeply thankful for each and every one of them.
At Santa Monica’s Barker Hangar, there was a lot of backing for Bates as she received the award.
As a fan, I’d like to share that celebrities such as myself (Milo Ventimiglia), Paris Hilton, Billy Crystal, Mel Gibson, and Mandy Moore were among those who sadly lost their homes due to the devastating fires in Hollywood.
