Following back-to-back Super Bowl victories, there might be some Chiefs fan fatigue by Sunday, yet there’s no exhaustion when it comes to Taylor Swift. Swifties continue to adore the pop star’s cheerleading attire, blending team merchandise with her favorite high-end brands such as Chanel, Cartier, and Louis Vuitton. While Travis Kelce may be an MVP on the field, Swift’s NFL involvement has significantly impacted the game: There have been indications of increased female viewership since she started appearing in the stands. However, the NFL also managed to impress Swift: while 10 million people watched her Eras Tour, over 120 million tuned into the 2024 Super Bowl. It’s a win-win situation – even if viewers’ attention isn’t always on the game itself.

I’ve taken a leaf from the style book of the Chiefs cheerleader as my favorite team’s chief supporter: a crisp white tee, sleek black Ksubi denim shorts, a vibrant red-and-white Chiefs New Era windbreaker, and matching red-and-white New Balance sneakers – marking the start of many more appearances in the Chiefs team colors. In the early stages of my relationship, I preferred to keep a low profile to avoid overshadowing my man on the field. As Taylor Swift fans try to emulate her, I thought I’d give the Chief WAGs fashion a whirl. And, yes, my trusted stylist Joseph Cassell Falconer was instrumental in procuring much of my NFL wardrobe.

This time around, the Chiefs jacket worn by Swift was generously given from Erin Andrews’ fashion line “Wear by Erin”, a friend who introduced her to Kelce. Not only did Andrews receive a thoughtful gift, but the jacket quickly sold out due to its popularity. Beneath it, Swift accessorized with a black Balenciaga corset (approximately $1,500), paired with a black miniskirt and silver jewelry. Fans eagerly speculated that every NFL outfit held hidden messages, as Swift once mentioned “symbols or clues can be embedded in clothing or accessories.” Their take on this ensemble: She’s smitten!

On a frosty day in Kansas City, Kristin Juszcyk, designer and wife of San Francisco 49er fullback Kyle Juszcyk, showcased her custom puffer jacket design, reminiscent of one she made for Brittany Mahomes. The jacket featured the number ’87’ on the front, sides, and back. She paired it with a fluffy white beanie, black top, pants, and boots. Completing the look is a favorite yellow gold, diamond, and ruby ring from LA jeweler Kirsty Stone. Even her black boots were adorned with a red and gold number 87. This marks the second time she wore her distinctive “TNT” diamond tennis bracelet gifted by her partner.

To begin the new season, this Canadian tuxedo, often mistakenly thought to be only made from Daisy Dukes, is far more versatile.
