It’s Patrick Mahomes’ Big Weekend, But I Can’t Get Enough Of Josh Allen’s Sweet Comment To New Fiancée Hailee Steinfeld

This weekend is significant for Patrick Mahomes. He’s aiming for an NFL three-peat on the 2025 TV schedule and can even catch the Super Bowl without cable. To add to that, he became a father of three in January with his wife Brittany, and recently went out on a double date with teammate Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift (she’s quite famous) in New Orleans before the game. Yet, another quarterback has caught my attention because Josh Allen made a heartwarming remark to his fiancée Hailee Steinfeld.

The Buffalo Bills quarterback may not have made it to the Super Bowl, but Josh Allen turned out to be a big winner anyway when he was awarded the NFL Most Valuable Player award at the NFL Honors on February 6. Hailee Steinfeld, the MCU actress who got engaged to Allen in December, took to Instagram with a couple of photos from the ceremony alongside the sweet caption:

That’s MVP Josh Allen to you! 👑

Although Taylor Swift’s relationship with Travis Kelce is more widely recognized as the most popular NFL/celebrity pairing, it’s important to note that Hailee Steinfeld referred to Josh Allen as “The King of My Heart” before his recent professional accolades, demonstrating her admiration for him long before this.

Moreover, if that wasn’t already charming, Josh Allen responded in the comments with a remark that left me utterly smitten.

I love you ❤️‍🔥

Throughout the football season, the Bills’ quarterback has frequently praised his fiancée for her unwavering support, stating that without her strength, he wouldn’t have achieved such success on the field. This supportive role of hers was clearly evident at the NFL Honors ceremony on Thursday, as Hailee Steinfeld appeared radiantly proud as her partner received the MVP award. In his acceptance speech, he did not forget to acknowledge her, a gesture you can witness here: [link to the speech]

With Josh Allen’s football season now concluded (at least for him), I find myself pondering if he and Hailee Steinfeld might finally begin their wedding preparations. Interestingly, she is set to appear in a horror movie titled “Sinners” alongside Michael B. Jordan, which is scheduled for release in 2025. So, it seems that this spring could be an ideal time for Allen to return the favor by supporting his fiancée’s acting career.

In December 2024, approximately a year and half since they were first seen together in New York, Josh Allen put forth his marriage proposal plan. Unbeknownst to him, Hailee Steinfeld had seemingly anticipated this move, as she had been inquiring about their wedding plans that very morning, coincidentally the same day he had planned her surprise proposal.

1) So far, the pair has kept their relationship rather private, but it’s delightful to witness more adorable moments between them. Unlike Josh Allen, who will likely be watching the Super Bowl ads and the halftime performance by Kendrick Lamar and SZA with everyone else, he at least has great companionship alongside him.

Currently, Travis Kelce is playfully teasing Swift fans by discussing wedding seasons and diamonds. It’s unclear if or when he might get engaged to Taylor Swift, but let’s give him and the Kansas City Chiefs time to focus on their season, shall we? The Chiefs are set to take on the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX on Fox, with kickoff scheduled for 6:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, February 9.
