Following the release of “Kinda Pregnant“, Amy Schumer expressed her fondness for the project by stating that she would continue working on it for the remainder of her life. The comedy series that we know as “Inside Amy Schumer“, which originally aired on Comedy Central from 2013 to 2016 and returned to Paramount+ in 2022, appears to be the one she is dedicated to working on no matter what the circumstances may be.
Amy Schumer’s show, titled Inside Amy Schumer, offered her humorous perspective on topics like sex, gender, relationships, and more through skits, stand-up performances, and conversations. This series garnered a Peabody award, as well as numerous Emmy nominations and victories. Currently, the full collection can be streamed on Hulu. However, there’s uncertainty about its future. Schumer herself hinted at the possibility of a return, saying, “I hope it comes back somehow. Who knows? I’m so puzzled about what’s happening with… the industry.
What Could We Expect From a Return?
Schumer did provide a small sneak peek at a sketch she’d love to put on the show should it return:
There were countless concepts… among them, a multitude of absurd ideas would surface. For instance, I envisioned a concept for a scene titled ‘Fart Park.’ Jon Glazer was the one who penned it. Essentially, it was a place where people could let out farts, similar to how they have dog parks but instead, it’s a Fart Park. In essence, it was a highbrow concept.
It appears that some aspects resemble those in “Kinda Pregnant,” suggesting that Amy Schumer‘s future work may continue to offer glimpses into what we might anticipate from future episodes of “Inside Amy Schumer.
In the movie titled “Kinda Pregnant”, we follow the story of Lainy, a New York-based middle school teacher. When her boyfriend leaves her and her best friend gets pregnant, Lainy finds herself in an emotional turmoil regarding her life’s path. To explore this situation, she decides to wear a fake pregnancy bump. Surprisingly, she enjoys the experience!
As the story unfolds, Lainy establishes various relationships, some precariously based on her deception, such as a romantic involvement with Josh, played by Will Forte from “Coyote vs Acme”.
Regarding Schumer’s future plans, although it seems she harbors a fondness for resurrecting her previous sketch series, it remains uncertain if or when such a revival will take place. In the meantime, you can catch up with her on “Kinda Pregnant,” which is currently streaming on Netflix via the provided link below:
