New York brand, Only NY, has partnered with Bravado (a division of Universal Music Group) for an exclusive partnership commemorating the Beastie Boys’ enduring legacy.
The focus of this collection lies on the Beastie Boys’ album, “To the 5 Boroughs,” which reached its 20th anniversary in June 2024, and it’s illustrated by co-founder Micah Belamarich. This special lineup includes T-shirts that celebrate the Beastie Boys’ New York City heritage, a photo T-shirt taken in the Lower East Side, as well as a tribute to the late Adam “MCA” Yauch and his passion for basketball. Additionally, there’s a Streetball cap with design elements similar to the basketball T-shirt, completing the collection.
As kids in New York, the Beastie Boys were an essential part of our regular music playlist. My friends and I would often recite their lyrics in the schoolyard or on the train as we navigated through the city. This collaboration feels like coming full circle for us – creating something personal and meaningful not just for our customers, but also for fellow Beastie Boys enthusiasts who may not be familiar with us yet. In fact, our co-founder Micah designed two t-shirts and a polo hat for this collection as a tribute to the enduring impact of the Beastie Boys, an influence that is still evident in NYC and at Only NY,” explained Micah and Julian, the founders of Only NY.
The limited-edition drop is available now in-store and via the Only NY webstore.
