This movie featured Shah Rukh Khan, Arjun Rampal, and Kareena Kapoor Khan, but unfortunately, it didn’t perform well at the box office. Speaking about the response from Bollywood regarding the film, the director shared, “There were some who secretly hoped Shah Rukh Khan would not succeed.
Sinha openly shared with The Lallantop that, after being in the industry for such a prolonged period, he could instinctively feel it. Moreover, when Shah Rukh Khan eventually acknowledged that the movie had failed, Sinha found it deeply saddening because he felt as though he had let down both the film and Shah Rukh’s trust. In essence, he confessed that he couldn’t produce a film worthy of Shah Rukh’s pride.
Discussing the factors contributing to the movie’s poor performance, the director of IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack explained that the script had significant weaknesses. In addition, the editing was not polished, and the effort to make the story appealing to a wide range of viewers may have actually harmed the film. However, he also acknowledged that the movie’s central narrative held promise.
In the same conversation, the director of Article 15 clarified rumors about his supposed argument with Ajay Devgn. When asked about it, he said, “No fight occurred. He doesn’t communicate with me,” further explaining that he remains puzzled as to why the actor from Singham Again avoids speaking with him.
Although he’d sent Ajay a few text messages, unfortunately, there were no replies. He assumed it might have slipped Ajay’s mind or perhaps he missed the messages. However, it’s been almost two decades since they last communicated.
