TAG Heuer Becomes First Title Partner of F1 Grand Prix de Monaco

After TAG Heuer was named the official timekeeper for Formula 1, they have now made history by becoming the first title partner in almost a century during the Grand Prix de Monaco. This is a significant milestone not only for the iconic racing event but also for the esteemed Swiss watch manufacturer.

Marking its 75th year in Formula 1, TAG Heuer once again takes on the role of the official timekeeper, underscoring its long-standing bond with elite motor racing and the iconic Monaco race. The history between Monaco and TAG Heuer stretches over several decades, entwined within motorsports and the renowned TAG Heuer Monaco line, making it only natural for the race to be called the Formula 1 TAG Heuer Grand Prix de Monaco from now on.

From the ’60s and ’70s up to the present day, drivers such as Jochen Rindt, Jo Siffert, Niki Lauda, Ronnie Peterson, Alain Prost, Ayrton Senna, Mika Häkkinen, David Coulthard, Kimi Räikkönen, Lewis Hamilton, Daniel Ricciardo, Max Verstappen, and Sergio Pérez have all sported TAG Heuer chronographs during their victories on the Côte d’Azur circuit. This unquestionable presence of TAG Heuer spans from the ’80s and ’90s to modern times through teams like Oracle Red Bull Racing, demonstrating a longstanding association between the luxury watchmaker and Formula 1 racing.

Under a long-term agreement with the Auto Club of Monaco, TAG Heuer is not only associated with the prestigious Monaco Grand Prix, but also with the Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique. In a public announcement, Antoine Pin, CEO of TAG Heuer, expressed his joy at continuing their partnership with the Auto Club of Monaco, highlighting how the brand’s competitive spirit mirrors that of the challenging Monaco streets.
