Following your assistance in interrogating a bandit during the Necessary Evil quest with Von Bergow, you’ll find yourself embarking on the For Victory! main quest. Much like a well-executed interrogation, a banquet ensues, and thus, the For Victory! quest begins, leading you in search of Hungarian wine.
At the triumphant banquet, as I chatted with Chamberlain Ulrich and Von Burgow, they entrusted me with a peculiar mission: securing wine and armor for Hans. The twist? They suggested I should fetch the vino from Katherine – but something inside me wondered if that was truly the case.

Where is Katherine in For Victory!?
Before hurrying off to deliver items to Hans and retire for the night, take time to chat with numerous guests (saving Johanka for last), so you don’t miss any additional information. Now, let’s return to the subject of the wine. However, contrary to what the quest log suggests, Katherine is nowhere to be found. She seems to have left the castle without an explanation (the game doesn’t provide one). And no, this isn’t a glitch; Katherine was never intended to supply the wine for this mission, despite the instructions to find her. You will need to acquire the wine by another method instead.
How to get wine in For Victory!
To obtain wine for Hans, make your way to the kitchen situated beneath the grand banquet hall. Search for cook Manyeta there. Inquire about Katherine and the wine from her, and she’ll consent to bring some wine for you, but keep in mind that there’s a condition. Manyeta requests Henry to open a locked spice chest, which requires moderate effort to unlock.
Where is the herb chest?
The herb or spice box that Manyeta refers to is situated next to the kitchen wall. In case you can’t unlock it due to lacking the necessary lock-picking skills, go back to Manyeta and inform her about your predicament. Unfortunately for you, she will still give you wine as compensation, but this comes at a price of reduced respect.
