Sheryl Crow Says “So Long Tesla,” Donates Money to NPR: “Under Threat By President Musk”

Sheryl Crow has no interest in Elon Musk or his automobile company, given that Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) is persistently reducing the size of federal agencies.

On a recent Friday, the multiple Grammy-winning artist announced via Instagram that she’s planning to sell her Tesla and intends to contribute the earnings to National Public Radio (NPR), an organization facing criticism from President Donald Trump lately.

Ever since I was told by my folks that ‘you are the company you keep,’ there comes a moment when you have to choose your companions. So it’s goodbye, Tesla,” I penned in the post’s caption, accompanied by a cheerful video of me waving as my Tesla is towed away.

Since his second term in the White House, Trump has persisted with his criticisms of news outlets whose coverage he finds objectionable. Lately, his criticism has focused on PBS and NPR. In a similar vein, the newly appointed Federal Communications Commission chairman under Trump, Brendan Carr, has initiated an investigation into both NPR and PBS affiliate stations, expressing worries that their programming might be breaching federal law by including commercials.

Regarding Musk and his informal government body known as DOGE, he has been aggressively pushing forward with plans to dismantle certain U.S. federal agencies, which is a part of the Trump administration’s attempt to drastically reduce costs, employment, and specific programs.
