Throughout the history of WWE, various distinct periods have emerged. The New Generation, Attitude Era, Ruthless Aggression phase, PG-TV era, among others, are often recalled. However, one that is fortunately fading from memory is the Raw Celebrity Host period spanning 2009 to 2014. While celebrity involvement in WWE dates back to WrestleMania 1, a decade ago, the company took it too far and had numerous celebrities host or appear on the primary show.
Here are 32 random celebrities who hosted Monday Night Raw…
Bob Barker – September 7, 2009
Besides being recognized as one of the greatest game show hosts ever, the late Bob Barker was also memorable as a host on WWE’s Raw. In a September 2009 episode, the iconic host of “The Price is Right” presented a wrestling-themed version of the show, featuring an appearance by the notorious character, Irwin R. Schyster.

William Shatner – February 1, 2010
Over the course of many years, William Shatner has graced the stage of ‘Raw’ on several occasions (with his 1995 encounter with Jerry “The King” Lawler being particularly amusing), so it was fitting for the Star Trek legend to take charge as host of WWE’s main program in February 2010. It wasn’t common knowledge that Captain Kirk would perform the entrance themes of WWE stars, but even so, his performance still managed to be both wild and subtly excellent.

Pee-Wee Herman – November 1, 2010
In the past, Pee-Wee Herman, better known as Paul Reubens, took charge as host of Monday Night Raw, which aired in November 2010. The show was transmitted from the famous Nassau Coliseum on Long Island, New York. Throughout the night, Pee-Wee had some memorable encounters and he even teamed up with Big Show, who was dressed as Pee-Wee’s popular character for the event.

Jeremy Piven – August 3, 2009
Back in the summer of 2009, if you’ve been a regular viewer of WWE clip shows, there’s a high chance you caught the viral moment from Jeremy Piven on Raw. As part of promoting his movie, The Goods, he graced our screens. In an unscripted turn of events, this Entourage star inadvertently bestowed SummerSlam with a fresh moniker – “SummerFest” – right on live TV.

Jerry Springer – February 15, 2010
Back in 2010, it felt like a natural progression for me, Jerry Springer, to make an appearance on Monday Night Raw, given my history with WWE. And that’s exactly what happened in February of that year! As the former mayor of Cincinnati, I stepped into the wrestling ring to host the weekly show, infusing it with a dash of the drama and zest from my long-running Jerry Springer Show.

Betty White – February 10, 2014
Betty White, during her almost century-long life, accomplished many things, one of which was hosting Monday Night Raw in February 2014. Although the iconic Golden Girls actress didn’t engage in physical wrestling moves like a clothesline or participate in the Elimination Chamber, she had some captivating moments delivering her promos on various segments.

Seth Green – July 13, 2009
Seth Green served as one of the initial hosts for Monday Night Raw events. However, unlike simply delivering speeches, Green took it a step further by participating in a high-profile six-man tag team main event. In this match, he joined forces with John Cena and Triple H to defeat their opponents, Legacy.

Hugh Jackman – September 19, 2011
I’ve had the pleasure of appearing on the popular talk show, Raw, more than once throughout my career, but my most memorable appearance was back in September 2011 when I promoted “Real Steel.” Towards the end of the episode, the character I’m best known for, Wolverine, unexpectedly joined the fray and landed a powerful punch on the United States Champion, Dolph Ziggler. That one punch was absolutely electrifying!

Arnold Schwarzenegger And Joe Manganiello – March 24, 2014
On a Monday night in March 2014, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Joe Manganiello made an appearance on Monday Night Raw. Their purpose? To publicize their action movie, Sabotage. However, the actors didn’t just stick to promoting. They engaged in a physical altercation with The Miz, who attempted to interrupt their ring promo alongside Hulk Hogan.

Shaquille O’Neal – July 27, 2009
As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but reminisce about Shaquille O’Neal’s appearances in the WWE world! While his epic entrance at the 3rd Annual Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal during WrestleMania 32 is undoubtedly unforgettable, it’s not his only connection to the WWE. Way back in 2009, when Shaq was still dominating basketball courts, he made a splashy appearance on Monday Night Raw and shared a side-splitting moment with Chris Jericho. Let me tell you, Chris Jericho looks like a pint-sized kid compared to the colossal Pro Basketball Hall of Famer!

The Muppets – October 31, 2011
In an unexpected collaboration, The Muppets and WWE seemed like an unusual pairing. However, in October 2011, it became a reality as cherished characters such as Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, and even Beaker (his encounter with Sheamus was quite amusing) made an appearance on the Raw Supershow.

David Hasselhoff – April 12, 2010
Approximately two weeks following WrestleMania 26, David Hasselhoff made an appearance on Monday Night Raw, a show taped at London’s O2 Arena. As the special guest host, he strutted into the ring playing one of his own hits, danced with a few ladies, and launched the evening’s events. It was quite an unusual spectacle, full of unexpected surprises, definitely worth watching.

The Hot Tube Time Machine Cast – March 29, 2010
During the time when “Hot Tub Time Machine” hit the screens, Rob Corddry and Clark Duke took over as guest hosts on “Monday Night Raw”. Similar to the film’s fate, this episode is often overlooked by many. Yet, it included an extremely awkward hot tub segment that was salvaged by Mark Henry and Hornswoggle.

Pete Rose – March 22, 2010
During the peak of the Attitude Era, Pete Rose had some unfavorable encounters with Kane, as his team, the Big Red Machine, clashed with Kane, known as the Hit King, at WrestleMania 14 and 15. A similar event occurred when notorious baseball player Pete Rose hosted Raw in March 2010. History seemed to repeat itself when an unmasked Kane confronted him backstage, causing quite a scare for the sports legend.

Cyndi Lauper – June 18, 2012
Cyndi Lauper, known for her hit “Girls Just Want to Have Fun,” has had a relationship with WWE dating back to WrestleMania’s debut. Consequently, it was fitting that she joined the action on Raw in June 2012, where she participated in a playful yet aggressive encounter against Heath Slater, who was then experiencing a series of defeats at the hands of various returning celebrities.

Kevin Hart – June 16, 2014
In June 2014, during Kevin Hart’s remarkable climb to the pinnacle of pop culture, he graced the stage on Monday Night Raw. He crackled with humor, stepped into the ring, and socialized with Adam Rose and his entourage, the Rosebuds. It was an eccentric period in WWE, and this encounter was one of the most extraordinary events of that summer.

Ashton Kutcher – May 31, 2010
Back in May 2010, Ashton Kutcher’s appearance on Monday Night Raw seemed quite unexpected, but remember, that era of WWE was a bit unconventional. It was a time when the company was experimenting and open to trying out new ideas, just to see if they would work.

Mike Tyson – January 11, 2010
Approximately eleven years after helping WrestleMania 14 become one of wrestling’s most memorable events, Mike Tyson appeared on an episode of Monday Night Raw in January 2010. During his visit, he engaged in various activities such as intimidating wrestlers and socializing with Hornswoggle. The unusual sight of the notorious boxer, surrounded by Fight Night Round 4 posters and games backstage, was quite captivating.

Flavor Flav – May 10, 2010
If you found Flavor Flav delivering a weather forecast on Salt Lake City news intriguing, then you’ll be amazed by his May 2010 appearance on Monday Night Raw! During the Public Enemy rapper’s brief engagement on the show, he joked, rapped, and collaborated with R-Truth. Could we somehow persuade him to return for another team-up with Truth? Please!

Freddie Prinze Jr. – August 17, 2009
It’s not entirely surprising that Freddie Prinze Jr. made an appearance on Monday Night Raw, given his history as a writer for the WWE’s creative team. The actor, known for films like “I Know What You Did Last Summer” and “She’s All That,” is no stranger to wrestling, and he doesn’t shy away from poking fun at himself. This was evident in a segment from an August 2009 episode where Santino Marella proposed an idea for a new installment in Prinze’s slasher series.

Jon Lovitz – May 24, 2010
Jay Sherman from “The Critic” might have expressed disdain by saying “It’s terrible!” about WWE’s celebrity host phase. However, contrary to that character, Jon Lovitz, the voice behind him, appeared to enjoy himself when he hosted “Raw” in May 2010. Did he seem out of place? Absolutely, but it was more like a fish having a fun time in an unusual pond rather than being genuinely uncomfortable.

Jon Heder And Don Johnson – January 18, 2010
Fun fact: You might not be aware that Jon Heder and Don Johnson have appeared together in a movie! This happened back in January 2018 when they starred in “When in Rome,” led by Kristen Bell and Josh Duhamel. To make things even more interesting, the two also co-hosted an event called “Raw,” where they briefly formed a tag team for one night only.

Larry King – October 8, 2012
In January 2021, renowned talk show host Larry King passed away, leaving behind a wealth of unforgettable interviews from his radio and television career. However, you might not know that in October 2012, King made an appearance on the TV show Monday Night Raw, where he presented fans with a fresh take on his signature interview style. During this episode, The Miz became quite agitated when questioned by King. Regrettably, King didn’t manage to knock him out, but it was certainly entertaining to watch.

The Three Stooges – April 9, 2012
On Monday Night Raw, the trio portraying The Three Stooges (specifically Will Sasso, Sean Hayes, and Chris Diamantopoulos from the 2012 comedy based on the original comic group) made an appearance to publicize the Farrelly Brothers movie. The highlight of their visit was when Will Sasso emerged dressed as Hulk Hogan, which was both astonishing and evidently entertaining for him in the ring, showcasing his enthusiasm.

Aaron Paul – March 3, 2014
In March 2014, during promotional activities for the film “Need for Speed,” Aaron Paul, who starred in “Breaking Bad,” appeared as a guest host on “Monday Night Raw.” This was one of the last guest host roles, and it’s not particularly memorable more than ten years after the event.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. – August 24, 2009
Approximately a year and several months following his victory over Big Show at WrestleMania 24, boxing icon Floyd Mayweather Jr. made an appearance on Monday Night Raw in August 2009. During this visit, Mayweather engaged in a heated exchange with Big Show and Chris Jericho (also known as Jeri-Show). Later that evening, he ended up joining Mark Henry and MVP for a tag team match, standing by their side.

The MacGruber Cast – April 19, 2010
On Monday night in April 2010, Will Forte and Kristen Wiig appeared on Monday Night Raw, not as themselves, but in character from Saturday Night Live. This unusual appearance led to some amusing encounters with WWE superstars, many of whom were featured in the action comedy MacGruber.

Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi – March 14, 2011
Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, famously recognized for her time on “Jersey Shore,” made a brief appearance at WrestleMania in 2011, which included an appearance on “Monday Night Raw.” Remarkably, just a few weeks after this, the television personality managed to secure a victory at the “Showcase of the Immortals.

Mark Cuban – December 7, 2009
As a seasoned movie critic, I’ve seen my fair share of tense situations, but nothing quite prepared me for the unexpected turn of events when I stepped into the ring as host of WWE’s Raw back in December 2009. After smoothly moderating a segment featuring Sheamus and John Cena before their TLC match, the unpredictable Celtic Warrior caught me off guard by slamming me through a table that was strategically placed in the corner. Quite an experience, indeed!

Dennis Miller – December 14, 2009
On a Monday night, during the 2009 Slammy Awards held at Raw, Dennis Miller appeared and predominantly engaged in delivering political humor and offering humorous yet insightful comments about WWE stars using somewhat amusing Photoshop edits. While people laughed, the segment didn’t leave a lasting impression.

Johnny Knoxville – October 4, 2010
Before I even squared off against Sami Zayn in the wild WrestleMania 38 match that left everyone speechless, back in October 2010, I, the former stuntman and now movie star, had a blast hosting an episode of Monday Night Raw. This was all happening just days before the release of Jackass 3D, and let me tell you, I had a field day playing practical jokes, especially on poor Ted Dibiase Jr., who was the unfortunate victim of my mischief that night.

Ozzy And Sharon Osbourne – November 2, 2009
In the 2000s, Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne were highly prominent figures, making it fitting that they would host an episode of Monday Night Raw in November 2009. Their segment titled “Raw’s Got Talent” is undeniably one of the worst occurrences on Raw, which speaks volumes about its quality.
