2025’s PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) has officially commenced, boasting over 90,000 participants signed up for this year’s initial global PUBG Mobile Esports competition. The qualifying rounds started on February 13th, providing fresh talents an opportunity to rise through the ranks and vie for a place in the PMGO Main Event.
In this competition, which offers a grand prize of half a million dollars, teams must demonstrate their skills through various stages. Notably, these rounds lead up to a final showdown against renowned PUBG Mobile Esports groups. Since this tournament is exclusively for beginners, it provides an opportunity for new talent to shine brightly.
Teams that include at least one player ranked among the top 500 in either Cycle 7 of Season 20 or 21 are assured a place in Round 2 of the Open Qualifiers. In the coming weeks, up-and-coming teams will fight for a spot in the PMGO Prelims, where they’ll compete against top teams from the Uzbekistan Offline Qualifiers.
Starting from here, I’ll be among the lucky twelve who get a chance to face off against PUBG Mobile’s elite pros in the PMGO Main Event. Already, four professional squads have secured their spots, thanks to their stellar performances at the PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2024.
Confirmed teams include Regnum Carya, Nigma Galaxy, 4Merical Vibes, and Influence Rage. Additionally, four more squads are set to join from different regional competitions such as the PMSL SEA Spring, PMGO Korea Qualifier, and Peacekeeper Elite League Spring season.

The Open Qualifiers will continue until March 2nd, after which there will be Prelims on April 10th-11th, culminating in the Main Event on April 12th-13th. This tournament kicks off a busy year for PUBG Mobile Esports, with the PUBG Mobile World Cup and PMGC scheduled to return towards the end of 2025.
